Bet he didn't expect to have to work quite so hard for it though Bob? Horse really responded well to his urgings though. Tough 'un.

It was a joke though wasn't it Odd?. He did it well in the end but it's hard to judge when there's only two horses. Navan must be scratching their heads. There's decent money down to 4th and no one wants it.

2nd. Didn't watch the race but saw the RP commentary. Went from drawing clear with the winner, to PDR moving easily to PDR found nil.

    Bloody annoying.

Came there swinging but found zilch. To be fair to the Kaki De La Pree he won with loads in hand after PDR didn't find much and even if he did I'm not sure he would have gone by.

Cannot believe the winner went off 3s. Was 2nd to new AB favourite Kings Palace in a Maiden Hurdle beaten only 1L, went on to win a Maiden Hurdle that isn't bad form and made handicap debut off 127!

That's a great price Bob, I'm a massive Patriots fan already had 3 bets on them to win the Super Bowl at different prices the latest been 9/1 put on yesterday.

Best of luck with your bet

Cheers Badger. Their record under Brady in December is obscene. Something like 54 wins and 6 losses in the month on their last 60 December matches. Odds against is now available and I've topped up at 21/20 to win on the money line. Good luck with the ante post bet. I've no strong opinion about the Super Bowl yet.

I've not a clue at this stage who'll win Super Bowl it's still wide open but I always put a little bet on Patriots. My main concern is that they're still a young-ish side and still developing and I worry their defence isn't going to be good enough to win the big one just yet, I can but hope!

Ive been on the saints to win the superbowl since pre season. If they make it or not hinges on whether they can get the number 1 seed. They are nigh on unbeatable at home

My luck is out in the NFL. Last two bets in it have lost from strong positions. A bad kick off did me today with a couple of mins left.

Bit unlucky, Bob. You and Badger may not agree, but I think Gronkowski is a HUGE loss, to the extent that I don't believe they can go all the way without him. I doubt the defence is good enough to keep good sides out, which hasn't much mattered while the Pats were going to score about 25 a game. Without Gronk, they don't look the same side, and Brady (particularly in the second half) looked a bit lost without the reflex throw or hand-off to him as an option. Hate to sound gloomy, but I think it might be time to trade out: I'm in the same boat, if it's any consolation.

I agree he's a massive loss, like i said earlier my big concern is the defence, i'm betting more with my heart than my head on this one though!

I agree Rainer. They can't win the Super Bowl without Gronk.

You're probably right, Oddy - Gronk would make Shrek look like Bambi, Micky Droy look like Olga Korbut, and could snap Voldemort's neck like a twig. But - with the possible exception of Kellen Winslow of the Chargers* -he may be the best dual-purpose tight end there's ever been (American footballspeak lends itself to Carry On innuendo more than any other sport in the world: I'd expand, but this is the wrong platform).

*If you, or anyone else reading, ever get the chance to see footage of the 1982 Chargers/Dolphins playoff, make a point of watching it. Winslow is HERCULEAN.
