"lamela dembele lloris paulinio soldado erikson holtby chiriches capoue chadli" Well with Levy and Baldini involved, debatable, But tis still a squad many managers would kill for to have a chance of managing well.
He a dull man, with no personality, no charisma, nothing interesting to say and full of hubris. AVB is willing to attack fans, attack journos, but he cannot organise a team for ****, he can't inspire them or train them to attack as a unit. He offers nothing imo, his ppg is as a result of having a good squad.... Which he is wasting. I've never once seen us play as a unit, as Liverpool did and have done since last Xmas, and he was brought in to add to what Harry did. I didn't like his style of interviews or football at Chelsea and have grown to dislike both even more here. He has had a chance, and it has passed him by imo. If we sack him now we still have a chance to achieve something this year.
But it aint like needing a striker and being given luis saha...thats 10 players who would be better with matinez, rodgers, wenger, laudrap, postigina, jol, clarke, hughton etc. managing them...thats what damns avb imo
"I don't think Paulinho has any intention to hurt Suarez. That was the killer blow for the game. It's my responsibility because I put them in the shape and the formation and we hope we are able to put our challenge in the Premier League back on track. The reality is we are not that far off." (AVB post-match comments) If that's what he truly believes, then we are royally ****ed.
Holy crap. I went out to see the new Hobbit movie when we were still 2-0 down. Come back to see this shambles of a scoreline. Levy should step down and send AVB packing! Root and branch changes are needed at Spurs. Seriously. This is not an overreaction as I have felt this way about the hierarchy at Spurs for a while now. Levy should hand the reigns to someone else and do other things at the club. His sackings and appointments have been shambolic at times. He isn't a football man. Time for a major shake up.
I agree. We have squad that many a Premiership managers would envy and love to manage. Unfortunately, we have a manager who makes Inspector Clouseau look like Sherlock Holmes!...
Why does AVB talk so much bollocks as well… "It's the second expressive scoreline that we've suffered in the season, and we admit that in the Premier League things aren't going in any shape or form the way we want… And because of the expressive result it makes it even more difficult for us to bounce back." Expressive? This idiot talks in riddles as though he believes it makes him appear intelligent. Conceited little prick.
The 2nd expressive result of the season...? Its the 2nd one in 3 ****ing weeks...our worst defeats away and at home for over 17 yrs have come in 3 weeks of eachother and he calls them expressive results? No wonder he gets paid so much to be our manager with a dizzying intellect like that
Let's hope that Levy is expressive in the morning, when he hands AVB his P45, and let's AVB know what an utter clown he's been.
Well apparently AVB survived a crisis meeting with Levy tonight. My inclination is that Levy's neck is on the line too and is going to feel the full wrath of Joe Lewis if this continues to go tits up. £100m+ of his money spent on new 'talent', not taking into account the Bale sale and Levy's latest protege is proving to be another Ramos-esque disaster. I think Levy's time is up. ENIC has plenty of other ways to use his talents elsewhere.
And for that my friends, we are eternally greatfull. He's far to good for our division and why you let him come to us is beyond me!! You seem to have a habit for doing that..Kyle Walker, Andros townsend, BAE...WTF were you thinking when you let them go? We've proved all 3 are top prem players. Are you really that good that you can loan them out? because on my TV it doesnt look like it. I hope you guys can turn this one around and get back in contention. Im still undecided on AVB to be honest. He had a bad deal at the scummers but i thought he may do well with you guys....jury is still out for me, but not looking good. Also can we thank you for giving us Redknapp to. Seems he knew what he was doing with you lot so you decided to oust him. Not doing to bad in our side of London right now. Now all we need is another striker...got any top internationals you want to send on loan....? Good luck
I backed AVB when he was appointed and I'm going to carry on backing him. These maulings we are taking are down to him but I think it's more down to the fact that we have such a new team. It's obvious when your watching the games that we are disjointed. The middle is non exhistent. The players are not on the same wavelength. I don't see how any other manager would be doing drastically better. 8 points off the top is another way of looking at it. I'll take that for now. I understand the fears because yes we have totally imploded it seems.. I just don't know how much better we are expected to be doing at this stage of the building process. To me the big defeats shows that the team is anything but a team. Yes it is AVB's job to sort it out and i think he is trying with what he has availiable. A makeshift CB pairing was always going to be in for a torrid time yesterday. He will have to have time or we are back to saying the same things about whoever the new manager is....I.e he needs time... Needs to build his own team etc etc. I am watching with intrigue at what is going on at our club and I do think I see glimpses of what we can do positively.
All our problems are not due to BAE going to QPR by the way. Almost comes across like that's what is being implied. Yes he can be a neat full back but I don't like his demeanour in general and hope we ship him off for good....still. Plus it would have been 6 yesterday if he was playing with his charity during matches. Despite what people think... It's not cool to not know who your opponents are and it's not cool to act like you don't give a **** and yesterday's tweet was not cool either...spoilt basterds hope he never wears a Spurs shirt again for me. Don't like him couldn't give a **** if he's the 2nd best fullback in the country blah blah.
Totally agree Spurlock - we are set up to beat the weaker teams but we are struggling against the stronger ones. Yesterday Capoue was out of his depth, Naughton took a roasting, Dawson made mistakes, and our midfield all played badly at the same time. Liverpool were good enough to take advantage, particularly with the ref helping them a little. Many first choice CB pairings struggle against Suarez.
The team is a mess. This is AVB's fault. The midfield offer very little offensively or defensively (shocking given the fact we had naughton and capoue) the defence is all over the place, the wingers are adding very little as they have space to work in, and no one to pass to, and we arnt scoring. We have soldado, paulinho, Eriksen, Lamela and chadli all struggling to adapt or fit in. On top of this AVB is reverting back to his stupid high line, the same one that conceded 6 vs city. He is a tool and has to go.
Guys, as an outsider; I think you have to give credit where credit is due sometimes. on his day, Saurez is unplayable at the moment. the guy is on fire & there isnt a CB pairing in the Prem that can do a thing about it! he's done it to everyother team he's played against this season & with all due respect, you were always gonna be up against it. Couple that with the work rate rodgers has instilled & you end up with a decent team in liverpool. you wont be the last the humiliate, so i no its no comfort but you need to just concentrate on getting your players used to playing with each other. Good luck boys...I always look out for the London teams. PS..Thanks again for Redknapp & YES, we'll sign BAE next season if you dont want him
