For a long time I was of the opinion that we needed four top CBs but I'm not so sure. I think Sagna can fill in if needed, it's not ideal, but it would work. The other option is buying a player who can play across the back or in DM, but I don't think we need to buy another CB.

Priority for Jan is a striker, but I think we might have to settle for a loan deal and then go all out for a top quality striker in the summer.

If Sagna plays CB, it has a knock on effect on weakening our RB position, Sagna at RB is much better and solid than Jenkinson, so we're still weakened whichever way.

I agree it's not ideal. But Vermaelen has been struggling to get in the team and he is top quality when on form. I'm not sure we'd find a CB of the right quality who'd be prepared to sit on the bench.

I don't mind if the 4th CB isn't super top quality, but just someone who is good, and can come in if needed.

I don't think we can afford to have anybody at CB who isn't good enough though. I'd rather have Sagna in there than a second rate CB

Not someone who isn't good enough, a good solid CB, but doesn't have to be super super quality like Kos or Mert. Someone like a previous Djoure. That's good enough for 4th CB.

We can? Don't think he'd be too happy though, also from what I gather he has improved since he left us, so he's upgraded himself above the level of a 4th choice CB.

So looks like Kos might be back for the West Ham which is great news, because when he was being stretched off, I thought he was done for the season. Got a lucky break there.

Nah. I eared too, then the commentator said it was a knee laceration and I was like "thank God."

Yep, I think we all thought it was knee ligaments. Makes a change for us to get a lucky break with an injury

Kos did post a tweet with a picture of his knee - it was a bad cut and looked like it went to bone, but as he is hard a couple of stitches and he will be back

He is lucky it didn't sever any ligaments or tendons.

Hope not, that sounds like the type of injury that'll keep him out for a while.

If so he will be missed but we have Jack and Flamini so we have good cover.

Great to see the Pod back in action again. Setting up one goal and lashing in one for himself <magic>

I love the Pod... good to see him back :) Not quite sure of his position for us still.

I think he'll be used on the left as a WF. I know people want to knock Giroud at the moment, but he'll find his scoring touch again. He's actually the best player we have to play CF and not just for his goal threat. With Pod on the left though and Walcott on the right we've got a really strong front line <ok>
