Spuds didn't have one shot on goal in the entire game. Given the unbelievable amount they spent in the summer, that is criminal.
HIAG "The only reason we are not romping the league is purely down to the vast number of players that have come in. When United, 'Pool, and the others are frantically buying next Summer to rebuild their squads, our new squad will have bedded down rather nicely, and we'll see the mighty Spurs push on. I think, however, that we need to write-off this season, as far as top 4 goes." errm .............about that .....
I feel sorry for some of the genuinely good players in the Sp*rs side, Soldado is a decent player, as is Lamela. Can't blame them for the poor management. What must they be thinking having to play and lose like this every week.
Come on now, let's not be going around making wild claims, to be fair for the sake of accuracy ..... It was £110m
The reason us Liverpool fans don't often like to call ourselves title contenders is because of the performances like the one vs. Hull. We know we aren't a well oiled machine like Arsenal is (fair play, if we can't, I'd rather Arsenal win it than anyone else) and we are a few injuries away from disaster. Our play can be fluid and can tear apart rivals like today against Tottenham or it can be stale and uninspired at times. We are making very good progress under Rodgers however. I'm not afraid to say we are challenging for top 4 and that's nothing to be ashamed at after the awful time we've had in the past few years. Looking around at Chelsea and City, they have the money and quality to take our spot if we slip up. So until those games are over with we aren't getting too full of ourselves.
City are still clear favorites but Arsenal and Liverpool both have an outside chance. Who knows what Chelsea are going to do, every time I think they're going to go on a run they throw away points against dross
City have new manager new players and it shows, they have lots of quality but just get it wrong sometimes. I think in the 2nd half of this season City will fix their away form, just a guess, and they will be more consistent next year. Time for Wenger to get the pen out and sign more players because Chelsea are going to and so are city. Chelsea have a good team but a manager that prefers ****e football that depends on a solid defence so when it goes wrong points get dropped. It was the main reason RA got pissed off with Jose, ****e football and bad results, there's nothing good in that, At least when Arsenal were inconsistent they always tried to play exciting football so it wasn't a total loss and you can give a manager support knowing that is what he wants to achieve, and not the grinding defend hoofball that Jose puts out week in week out now if you dont mind I am going to log out and look at the spuds board and have a laugh
From the bbc live text thing: Nick Wheeler: Worst Spurs performance for at least two weeks. Awful, just awful.
Best stat ever: Liverpool have scored more goals from open play at WHL than Sp*rs this entire season.
A lot of ref blaming, they actually think Paulinho didnt deserve a red Or Soldildo's barge in the back for Ming wasn't a foul
****ing Hell That really is something to be ashamed of. Arry might have been a wheeler dealing shyster but at least he had that shower of ****e playing some decent football, AVB has just pissed £110m up the wall and they can't even manage a shot on goal.
