Personally I don't know how anyone liked that footballer at our Club. He had one outstanding season three years ago but has been pony ever since and has choked at the top level. Even the good season he had with us was beset with tantrums, egocentric statements and all round general bad behavior.

I love the fact that this season we have a team, not a group of players who revolve around and molllycoddle one self-absorbed, one-trick pony who always believed he was bigger than the Club and everyone in it, even though he's done nothing of note in the game. The very fact that he's still overweight shows just how much respect he has for the Club he's at now and his conduct at the beginning of this preseason was dreadfully disrespectful to his Manager and teammates.

I simply hated the way he played the game: All show and rarely any end product. Giving the ball away willy-nilly, not passing it to teammates but instead trying to make himself look good in front of the crowd. I couldn't bare watching him play for us. The only thing I'll never be able to get my head around is how on earth so many of our fans seemed to like watching him. It still baffles me to this day. That sinking feeling I used to get every time I saw his name on the team sheet has now been replaced with a happy anticipation of the coming game. He's Fulham's problem now and they have to keep him for the rest of the season so we're safe until then. Then hopefully Harry will offload him to the first bidder and perhaps we can draw that sucker of a Club, whoever they may be, into paying a half-decent fee for him. He was simply the most overrated player ever to wear the Hoops and I'm delighted to see the back of him.

Sorry if this upsets a few but its a no holds barred, straight from the heart opinion. We're a better Club without him lads.

Perhaps the risk of having him back is too high, then again, many of us wouldn't have seen Barton back in hoops, and he has been a revelation.

The big difference between Joey and Adel is that one gives everything for the team and the other gives what little he can for himself. It's no co-incidence that Adel's major strops started after Joey was signed and made Captain and clearly didn't like what he saw in Adel.

It really is a waste of time believing that Adel will return to the team, Kranjcar and now Benayoun are well ahead of him in Harry's plans so if Fulham have had enough of him Adel may face a very bleak future if he can't sort out another loan deal. I, for one, won't miss him...

We dont need him any more. He wasnt good enough in the premier league ,except few matches. He has had one good season but i cant still accept the fact how easily Rob Savage put him in his pocket during our promotion season in our matches against the Derby.

Just take a look at his head in that picture. Take a good hard luck.

Now its obvious to see from that one picture that the lad is a bit soft. He's clearly a couple of spanners short the full toolbox. Do we really want someone as dozy as that at our Club? Barton might be a scumbag but he has a bit of summink between his ears. How difficult must it be for Managers to try and get their messages across to a kid with a nut like that? Seriously, the boy is as dim as a glow worm's arm pit. I wouldn't inflict a plank like that on any group of players on a daily basis. Is it any wonder the dressing room wasn't right when he was around? It must have been like having Trigger as a teammate for fu*k's sake.

Maybe the Club should bring in basic aptitude tests for players when they join? Like being able to spell their own names for example?

I think Swords would find it very brutish if some of Adel's supporters got their hands on him...<laugh>

Swords has made it clear that he doesn't understand cultures at all when attempts are made to use a photograph to set a tone .

To then suggest he was poor in our two seasons at the summit of football again very short sighted

Posters on here for years have talked about the gulf in standards between the championship and premiership and of course the only difference is money and what that buys in the market

The rest is hype basic football in the championship is far harder than the bottom of the premiership as most down there are low on confidence

Taarabt cannot be blamed for any of our defeats IMO

His talent is there for all to see

His mind is young his culture different and his advice shocking

    A) Not many but Taarabt was having somekind of "starplayer" status among some of our fans.

    B) Green, Austin, Phillips, Onuoha, Barton, Hoilett, BAE(hopefully), Carroll(hopefully) and Hill?

You see DT, you are as bad as AT. You posted a top post a few days ago and i backed you fully on it. Now just like AT the inconsistency sets back in and it rubbish again <laugh>
your 3 final sentences are spot on....I'll ignore the rest and say you were tired at work<ok>

Great reply Igor & i'll wager everyone of them does better than he did for one reason. They will appreciate what they have achieved & put the hard graft in.

Is there anyone who thinks any of these players will NOT work thier nuts off to compete at the top table?
i'm not saying they are as talented as AT but i'l bet my life they try harder at training & in games.

    Any takers?

You are spot on Kiwi, but like i said..at least they will try to make it.
Maybe it wont work out for some (most) but it wont be through lack of effort & trying will it?

I have always said that AT got his head down he could have made himself a regular player in the prem..any more than that is up to him. Just not gonna happen though is it?...Sadly for us<ok>

EDIT: you forgot Austin & Ned...?

The above will work hard to get back to the Prem and will work hard to stay there.

AT thinks he has the right to be their already.

No one's denying that Oddball. Its not worth a damn though if you can't harness it.

Andy Townsend. Now there's a proper footballer.

I'd settle for Wayne Routledge. Damn Tango and Cash for preventing his permanent signing.

I agree with the vast majority of this Swords. Whilst I wouldn't agree he was the most overrated player we've ever had, he provided us with some great memories for sure, I have to state it should be left at that....memories.

Taarabt simply can't play in a team that isn't built around him. Should this team be built around him? No. Does he give everything in every game he plays? No

He's a wasted talent, and our club can't afford to carry those any more.

People seriously need to move on from this and look forward.
