Who says speculation about being England manager does not effect the mood or morale of his players. But when a manager fails to deliver what is EXPECTED, thinks that managers' players need to know ASAP what the managers' future is. Lucky we have never had such a manager eh.
I agree with that Boss, we over-achieved with Redknapp but I think RDBD is right about why he went. Also Levy thought he could get someone who would make us that little bit better and get us over the finishing line to be a permanent top 4 side. It looks like he might have been wrong but it was worth the risk to me - I still think Redknapp would have done worse with the squad we had last year.
sadly spurs are going to in the Europa league again, a.v.b likes that competition, doubt he will be here by xmas, who comes in? who is out there, jol not as good as he was and levy sacked him, no chance of getting harry back, cos he dared not to commit to spurs, who will save spurs season now, before its to late
Agree with this. What kind of moral arbiter is the guy who sacks someone for being "gobby"? This is a game of results, and by a vastly superior margin, Redknapp pisses on pretty much every other Spurs boss.

I haven't called for Redknapp to be our new manager, its not even something I think is realistic but I just prefer to remember Redknapp for what he actually done, as I know you and anyone else who has an issue with his personality, enjoyed his personality when things where going well, thats why I said its a cheap shot. Redknapp takes part of the blame for missing out on 3rd, but as I said the only reason we even believed we could finish 3rd was because of his management, so I'm sure he was as gutted as anyone to miss out on 3rd and too much is made of his personality, to the point it becomes an easy way to slate the guy.
Redknapp got the boot because he eyed up the England job, claimed that his contract situation wouldn't trouble our players, then flip-flopped to say the opposite and tried to play hardball with Levy. He brought in Rooney's agent to deal with contract negotiations and kept talking to his mates in the media, while he must've been aware that Levy's mum was dying and he had more important things to deal with. Having said that, it wouldn't surprise me to see Levy change his mind and rehire him.

My worry is all the focus is on AVB and the bald idiot will escape any criticism. You can see it on here - all the focus is on AVB. Yet Levy makes poor decisions season upon season.

Come on, thats abit low, Redknapp is a family man and I very much doubt he would have meant to have caused more grief or pressure on Levy at that point. Redknapp made his mistakes but overall was great for the club and as far as I know (from what SC said) Levy ended on good terms with Redknapp.
The problem with Levy is that he is 29% shareholder in ENIC. But I do believe he is astute enough that if a better chairman is around, he is quite capable of slipping into the background just as Joe Lewis does.
On a serious note I wouldn't want Redknapp back at all. He is old skool and makes it up as he goes along. And he will retire in a couple of a years. He could come and save our season (by signing the likes of Crouch and a few over 35's and dropping Soldado, Paulinho etc) and link himself to the England job in the summer after Hodgson inevitably ****s up at the WC.
Me too. However he certainly would not have ended up with the mess of a squad we had now. We've lost some great players and we had no choice in that really. BUT we got very, very good money both times and it has been invested bizarrely and some of the sales/loans out have been odd too. This squad is nowhere near as good as it was under Harry and AVB/Levy/Baldini really need to accept differing levels of blame for that. Seriously - who is the best passer of the ball in this current squad? It's not like names spring to mind, is it? Compare to Modric, VDV, Huddlestone, Krancjar, Bale, Carroll...er...well that's six players straight off the top of my head who are better at passing the ball than any of our current squad I reckon. You could say the same about pretty much any aspect/position/characteristic of the squad bar, maybe, defensive midfield.

Love Harry Redkanpp at QPR. He has turned our club round from being a laughing stock in the premiership to a well drilled organised side at the very top of the Championship. I met him in the summer and on football matters he gives it to you straight. Hes blended some proven performers with many of Tottenhams past and present players and the way hes got Joey Barton playing again and in favour having been disowned by QPR fans after he got sent off at Man City is for all there to see which is why we are a couple of points clear at the top. Look forward to QPR v Tottenham again next season
