So who will be our caretaker manager? The look on Levy's face I think the decision has already been made. I'll be interested in the timing.

Levy is a twat and is also responsible for this.

He's a ****ing idiot who hasn't made a good decision in years.

I really didn't think we could play as badly as that. The ref had a shocker too. Two obvious penalties, Soldado's goal should have stood and a ridiculous red card.

AVB got most things wrong today - I can't understand why he hasn't stuck to his guns with the invested wingers. We've looked terrible with Lennon on the right.

Yeah, I guess he's just worked out how much it is going to cost him to get rid of AVB.

Out of all the things wrong with our team, you pick on Lennon on the right as your reason.

    My brain - it hurts.

The player who isn't top four quality but helped us finish top four twice, sure Lennon is really one to isolate after today's performance ;)

"That isn't a fair view as the situation created by the court case"

Over well before the slump happened.

    "the England job"

Nothing more than a media w**k fest for weeks.
And then towards May, one or two of them started to question whether
Arry was the right man for the job with Spurs now in free-fall.

    "and then injuries"

    <standard>

As I will continally say to you and others :

Unbelievable how from a position of strength (Spurs
were expected to lose some games - but had worked immensely hard to get well above
2 pts per game) , and personal goodwill towards him (Rosie-gate etc) , Arry blew a
great future by just one point.

Take a second to consider Aston Villa. Just think about their recent history: solid Premiership team, never that likely to get relegated, never challenging at the top of the table seriously, maybe the odd cup final but far too many mediocre players/managers to do much and the best players are bound to leave.

Imagine if, five years ago, they had shown genuine relegation form and someone came in who turned it all around and almost got them European qualification. Next season they finished 4, qualifying for the 1st time in their history. Next season they get to the quarter final of the CL, beating some of the top teams in Europe along the way - making them look ****, frankly, on occassion. The following season they finish fourth again and continue playing football that general consensus saw as the some of the most attractive and exciting in the entire country.

So strong were they that they really should have finished 2nd or 3rd if it weren't for a horrible drop in form around the time that the manager is being linked with the England job, so impressive have Aston Villa been ove the three years of his reign.

A bizarre and never-to-be-repeated loophole in the CL rules means that Villa do not qualify for the CL. The manager was open about how he would feel proud to manage his country. And if he'd managed to get Villa third (as so many Villa fans had now started demanding, so stark had been the changes in Villa's prospects) then the weird CL rule would not have been relevant.

Anyway - this guy gets sacked and later takes over a team in a massive relegation battle and can't turn it around this time though he brings a youngster from Villa who'd not managed to get much game-time from them. next season he's top of the championship and once again is bringing on a very promising Villa youngster, giving him game-time because of his footballing ability, not his physical frame.

Imagine a manager who did that for Aston Villa. Seriously.

You would ****ing LOVE him to be taking over Spurs tomorrow morning. You would not give a single **** about his gobbiness when he was at Villa. You'd WANT a manager who's biggest sin was getting too popular and top jobs coming his way.

Levy's balls should be on the block too ! He was the main advocate of hiring AVB. I can't imagine that Uncle Joe is too pleased !!!

    Dear Harry,

I know sometimes you read our board.

I would like to apologise for Daniel Levy's behaviour in dismissing you as you showed an interest in the England role and for being a dodgy 'geeza'.

You may not have been a master tactician but you motivated our players, played exciting football and brought us CL football.

We thought we may push on from your fourth place finishes even though we were punching above our weight.

Please would you accept and collective apologies and return.

HIAG is willing to give you a back massage to make this happen. With extras.

    Best regards.

Depends which way you look at it, net spend = nil, gross spend £105 M. I guess we could have banked the money and still had nil shots on target. Aim for us now is 40 points and avoid relegation. If we don't your team might not be down.

You seem to be taking some strange satisfaction from Redknapps "Gobby" personality, nothing you have said is anything more then a personal and over the top view of our form based on Redknapps personality (or not handling pressure). which is a simple view to take.

If you look at our form overall in the season, we over achieved in certain parts, under achieved at others but finished (give or take) a few points in a position we could have best hoped for and before the season started the target was to finish top four.

The only reason our expectations increased was because of Redknapps management, he managed the team to a position of challenging the mancs, which was false, and I expect you was his biggest fan at that point, and enjoyed his "Personality". As soon as it goes wrong, you attack his personality and that is nothing more then a cheap shot, which the majority of your comments are, cheap shots.

You'd think for £100 million pounds you guys would just have bought a bigger set of goals so you could get a shot on target... I think nearly all your summer acquisitions are vying for "worst signing of the season" here.

It was a very valid red card. Paulinho cowardly stuck the boot in like De Jong in the world cup. For those who (erroneously) believe he "only had eyes for the ball", well, you can't go lunging around like that anyway with your studs up (see Nani's champions league red). There was a movement at Suarez anyway.

The result was well deserved for Liverpool. Great team performance, wonderful to watch as a neutral (though my team have been taken apart in similar circumstances in recent years, so I have the greatest of sympathy for Spurs' fans (except the ones who left before the end. Cowards and a disgrace to all football supporters. I'm so glad these tossers always miss the best bits of sport)). Suarez really is a special special player.
