I've not seen a massive reaction to Derbys ground name change, I wonder why that is? Greavsie is taking the whole heritage thing to its logical conclusion too. What would we call the KC if you lot actually backed the whole "important history and legacy" thing seeing as sponsors names would be a no no?
As per usual, yet another clumsy, ignorant and way off the mark squeak from you. You are deeply incapable and are an absolute embarrassment to not only our club, but the species in general.
I forgot changing the name of a moderately new stadium and changing the name of a football club after 109 years was the same thing...
Bloody hell. Neither of you had a response to the Derby ground name changing or the other questions. I guarantee neither of you stood up for Wimbledon either. Or St James Park. Or anything else that's ever mattered. I'm stunned. lol just kidding.
At the end of the day I don't think the FA will consider a cockney drunkard as one of the Stakeholder groups as one they will be consulting.
In an hour there'll be another article written by someone somewhere in the world deploring this name change ****ery. Article after article after article. Not one, as yet, who deems it a smart move. Odd that isn't it?
Derby's ground has been open just a bit longer than ours and was named after a retail park anyway, so there's no heritage lost. Though I'd hazard a guess and say you knew that already.
He is an alcoholic who hasn't had a drink for a long time. Not some waste of space like Gazza who some misguided people regard as some sort of loveable jack the lad. And one of the beat finishers this country has ever seen.
Castro's Coffin - I apologise for using that term, which I should have used in quote marks seeing as I was quoting the OP. And yes the anti-name changers can say there are numerous articles about the name change supporting their point of view BUT going back to another tradition - the 3PM kick off time for the FA cup final, how many articles supported the change of KO time? And technically the FA could have insisted that Wimbledon kept the name - even if the economics meant they had to move to Milton Keynes (how many fans of our club - emailed or wrote to the FA opposing that)
Dreadful way to disrespect Jimmy Greaves, he is a recovering alcoholic and for a long time now hasn't had a drink. He was also one of the best footballers of his time. He also speaks great sense in this article.
The number of your brain cells would appear to be the same as your avatar, or maybe it's a photograph of yourself.
I love how none of them can actually give you a proper response and instead result to insults I don't think people realise what is actually happening to this forum with the mob mentality and moderators like DMD and PLT crossing a line to fit their agenda.
Totally agree. Describing the greatest finisher this country has probably ever produced as a cockney drunkard is pathetic . He hasn't touched a drop in years, so it's inaccurate as well as disrespectful. He always comes across as a nice fella as well.
There's nothing to respond to, why should we respond to his rubbish when none of the pro name changers can come up with a logical reason for changing the name other than 'he can'. When you or him can provide evidence of a positive coming from a name change, i will happily reply to all of the rubbish posts the pro name changers post.
A typical needy thread and post from a bitter sad no life ****. Can the mods delete or rename a thread? Stewey's sad lonely life would be a great thread title. A fantastic footballer and gentleman too. Read Jimmy's book when he played at an away ground the fans would give him a round of applause as an acknowledgement of a great player.
City 1904 - I look forward to hearing the clear and concise business arguments you have forwarded to the FA as to why the club should not be called the Hull Tigers. Tradition is not a sole reason in football now - no matter what Wenger claimed (as some people did point out that Arsenal had moved grounds, got a sponsored ground and been renamed as well in response to his comments) and when the FA moved the Cup Final away from a 3 PM kick off - that ended one of the biggest traditions in the English game
