    That's a terrible ranking.

I would put Kimi 3rd. There's no way he was worse than Grosjean or Rosberg (he sat out the last two races and still beat them), and if he had done every race he almost certainly would have beaten Hamilton (and the Mercedes was a better car). Hulk had a good season but I think 4th is too high. I can't understand why Bottas is 10th - what did he do other than Canada Q3 and Austin? He was anonymous for most of the season, sometimes racing with the Caterhams and was beaten 9-5 by Maldonado when both finished the race (or 9-4 if you exclude Spa).

I'd have put Hulkenberg 3rd myself. I wouldn't have bothered comparing the rest of them, Vettel, Alonso and Hulkenberg were the standout performers, the rest were too inconsistent to really compare to anyone other than their teammates in my opinion.

Realistically isn't that how you judge a driver anyway by comparing to their teammates? Otherwise what barometer do you have to see whether a driver is out-driving their car?

Grosjean above Kimi is pretty ridiculous. Though i think all these rankings tend to be skewed towards those who were better at the end of the season rather than the beginning.

Pirelli tyre test starts tomorrow. Interesting that Ferrari are giving Bianchi a day to see how much progress he has made. They didn't do that with Perez.

    Day 1:
    De La Rosa (Ferrari)
    Rosberg (Mercedes)
    Buemi (Red Bull)
    Vergne (Toro Rosso)

    Day 1:
    De La Rosa (Ferrari)
    Rosberg (Mercedes)
    Buemi (Red Bull)
    Vergne (Toro Rosso) (AM)
    Kvyat (Toro Rosso) (PM)

    Day 3:
    Bianchi (Ferrari)
    Rosberg (Mercedes)
    Buemi (Red Bull)
    Kvyat (Toro Rosso)

F1: Formula 1 team run program explained

Each practice and qualifying session of the Formula 1 teams is rigorously planned and detailed in advance, long before the cars are even transported to the circuits.

Everything that needs to be done during the day appears on what is called a “run sheet.” We got Friday’s run sheet of the Brazilian Grand Prix for Daniel Ricciardo from Scuderia Toro Rosso.

It must be noted that this was the intended run sheet. Rain forced Toro Rosso to change its plans.

Note that some crucial and sensitive information has been removed from the sheet by the team.

Red Bull has cut its junior team from six to three drivers for 2014, with Carlos Sainz Jr the only member to stay on from this year's line-up.

Sainz will be joined by Macau GP winner Alex Lynn and Formula Renault 2.0 champion Pierre Gasly. Former junior team member Daniil Kvyat has been promoted to a Toro Rosso race seat, while Antonio Felix da Costa has been named as one of Red Bull's F1 reserves. Tom Blomqvist, Beitske Visser and Callan O'Keeffe have all been dropped from the programme.

    Red Bull halves junior team

Alex Lynn has had a fairly successful junior career although at 3 years younger Pierre Gasly is potentially more impressive.

Really don't rate Sainz, he's lucky to still be on the programme after being thrashed by Kvyat last season. Sainz is taking Magnussen's place at DAMS next season, while Gasly's replacing Da Costa at Arden.
