Just another game where we're gonna have to be reliant on Suarez. If he's well up for it, then we will take a point or more, if he's not in the mood or just simply marked out of the game and hacked to **** then we won't get anything, without Gerrard or Sturridge the only other mildly exciting player we have is coutinho, everyone else just waits for things to happen, they don't make them themselves.
Spurs vs Liverpool - Andre's preview Andre Villas-Boas is determined to go level on points with Liverpool by beating the Reds in today's showdown at the Lane. The Anfield team have been one of the stand-out performers of the Premier League season so far with Luis Suarez’ 15 goals firing them into second spot last weekend. We have recovered well from our heavy loss at City and go into Sunday’s fixture looking for three wins on the trot having won back-to-back away matches at Fulham and Sunderland. Victory and we’ll join Liverpool on 30 points. “We have a wonderful situation against Liverpool where if we win, we go level on points with a team that has started so brilliantly in the league,” said Andre. “Straight away, you have a comparison from everything we’ve gone through to go level on points with a team that has been so magnificent, it shows we’re not too far off. “Not only that, but we could be four points better off than last season, when we beat the club’s record points tally. “To start December with10 points would be important especially having played United and Liverpool. We have to use all of these factors as key motivation for the game and hopefully get the win that will put us into a strong position.” Andre expects an ‘open game’ against a Liverpool side that has scored 34 goals so far this term. “I'm sure Liverpool will play the same way particularly with their attacking strengths and the form that Suarez is in,” he added. “You wouldn’t expect Liverpool to sit and wait, they will have a go. They are strong in the way they play and it could be an open game. “Suarez is in a good moment and can surprise us in different ways. We have to stop the players that feed him the ball and stop him as an individual.”
The Liverpool team in full is: Mignolet, Flanagan, Sakho, Skrtel, Johnson, Allen, Lucas, Henderson, Sterling, Coutinho, Suarez. Subs: Jones, Kelly, Agger, Toure, Moses, Aspas, Alberto.
Anyone know where I should be looking for a stream? Agree wit Sir Red, no creativity in there aside from Couthino and Suarez, so hopefully those two show up.
I thought Henderson was injured. Im really skeptic about Lucas starting. He's done well against teams we should be beating, but i can't recall the last time he had a good game against a good side. He was piss poor against Arsenal, His poor positioning is thoroughly exposed against the better sides. If Hendo was fit, would have preferred him starting along with Allen in midfield and Coutinho or Alberto ahead. Hope we come away with three points or atleast a draw.
It would seem i'm the only person feeling optimistic. Spurs have not been fantastic and will be nervous for the encounter. The midfield in the past has raised their game when stevie has not played, hopefully they will do again. Infact i am looking forward to more energy and mobility in the middle. I am fairly hopeful of at least a draw and maybe a sneaky win. Fully prepared to look like a dick after the match though. Come on REDMEN
