Fair to say he splits opinion on here. He is loved for his flair and skill, but terrifies with his occasionally casual attitude in dangerous places. He fell out with AVB because of not adhering to his strict disciplinary procedures (namely travelling across London to join the team bus when it was inconvenient) and some of us feel for the money he's on, he should just join in whatever he feels about it.

Still seen in the stands at WHL and that goes down well. If AVB moved on at the end of the season, there is a good chance he will come back I think.

  3. I think the Championship is now his level.

He was good for us at one point, but became far too much of a liability in later seasons.

There's also a particular arrogance about him that I have never liked, and which I have always viewed as divisive.

I'd much rather we stick with Rose who, I believe, will be the better player, and an England regular, in due course.

A good LB who finds himself with your lot solely because he has allowed some
stubborn "too cool for school" persona to make him totally unprofessional as a football
player being paid 10s of thousands per week to play at the top level.

And having a manager who is as equally stubborn in his ways.

If BAE has now grown up, and the manager is convinced of this, then he should be
recalled to Spurs (if possible) at the start of the next transfer window.

Not the 3rd best, but would love for him to be back at the Lane. His tweets still show loyalty to Spurs, and we would be at least 2 points better off I reckon if he was still in the team, and also not pissing off verts. Let there be peace.

Ekotto is back performing as hes playing under a better man manager, who also got the best out of Adebayor and helped Townsend get his career back on track, and not to mention helping Carroll improve as a player. If Ekotto came back he wouldn't perform as he doesn't have respect for the manager (as shown by his actions), some players just need a certain type of manager to flourish and if you get promoted its highly likely you will buy him.

He is about a million times better than Naughton that's for sure.
I would love him back now if nothing else for decent cover for Rose.

Agree Benny has been fantastic for us this season (player of the season nomination along with Joey Barton) and Tom Carroll has been great last couple of games pulling the strings in midfield. Both becoming popular with QPR fans and if they help get us back next season to the prem along with Nico Krancjar, Jermaine Jenas and the management skills of Harry Redknapp, Joe Jordan and Kevin Bond all will become legends of QPRs recent history. Just hope you will loan us Jermaine Defoe in the Jan window. Come on you Rs

Unfortunately that's the way with a lot of modern players mate. A certain Adel Taarabt springs to mind. Great talent but totally wasted.

Just wondering, if AVB was to get the boot, would the new Manager be able to recall him or does a season-long loan mean he stays at QPR?

P.S. The boy Carroll has shown nothing up to this point but yesterday I saw glimpses of the player he could be. I think his youth and physical slightness makes the rough and tumble of the Championship a difficult place for him to play. He gets kicked a lot and doesn't seem to like it too much. But he has got something in his feet, there's no doubt about that. Hopefully he'll continue to develop.

Might be getting a fine over this, I'd have thought:

Clearly meant as a dig at the manager, but it's also taking the piss out of the club, frankly.
    Very poor behaviour.

Which is why he is on loan to you lot.
His technical ability is not under scrutiny, but his physicality needs to be developed.

Adebayor and BAE. Those bastions of Spurs diplomacy and professionalism.

I would love to see Levy tell our manager (forgotten his name!) to drive over to QPR and bring our left back home!
He may have moments of madness but it would be nice to have a player with flair and who actually wants his team to win!

Surprised you said that re Carroll as alot of fans say the opposite, as does Redknapp who doesn't have to play him, but wants to build the midfield around him.

Carroll is similar to Modric, not in terms of being the same level but Modrics contribution used to go unnoticed, most fans don't appreciate these players until they step up another level but Carroll will have a strong second half to the season and hopefully help you to promotion.

QPR fans? I've not come across any of them mate. He's been poor so far but I'm not having a go at the kid, he just needs a bit of time to adjust. Like I said above, this division is unique. Its not until you go through a campaign at this level that you realize just how scrappy and physically demanding it is. Some players are more suited to the PL with its "footballing" theme and might struggle to adapt to this awful division. He's finding it tough but he'll come good no doubt.

Harry said that when he signed him but unfortunately, so far, it hasn't worked out that way.

    I hope so mate

Ok fair enough swords, you obviously see more QPR games then myself but yes QPR fans but regardless I'm confident you will know how class he is and as RDBD said, Carroll needs to build up his strength as that will only come with playing each week.
