    ===============

Do you really think only 10 people aren't that bothered by the name change ?

Some people are more bothered about paying bills.....family .....health.....loved ones....all sorts of things are more important in life then a name change from Hull City to Hull Tigers

It's not such a big deal to some.
    L
That doesn't make them less of a person.
Or less of a supporter .

The club shop was packed out yesterday so not many are boycoting buying stuff ....

Last Christmas I watched us rip Leeds United a new one. This Christmas I watched us play Stoke City who we should have ripped a new one because they were poor. On Match of the Day I watched Manchester City demolish Arsenal. That's what I want to see week in, week out at the KC. That costs money which Assem Allam hasn't got. I would go and watch Hull City play Hartlepool but how many would go to Scunthorpe to watch Hull Tigers play in League 1? For some of us it isn't either or. We want both.

We owe nearly £100 million to Assem Allam and his family. That debt will be repaid eventually and where will Hull City Tigers Limited be then?

nail on head here - there would be only 3769 watching against Crewe or Hartlepool, only the diehard fans would stay, the rest are simply on the Prem bandwagon, not a fan in the true sense of the word but a fickle, transient passenger who comes and goes and then feels he/she should have a equal voice about the club - perversely it's the core support that Allam wants to die - wonder what will happen when we eventually fall down a league or two, and we will because of the financial mess that Allam has made of the club - the core support will have been alienated by his name change and probably supporting a phoenix club with Hull City in its name and the passers by will quite literally have passed on as there will be no Prem fix so they simply wont go - this will be Allams legacy - that's why its so important to retrain the identity so preserve the future of the club and its core support - the passers by are not the life blood of the club they are a kind of parasite who live only off its success and die when the crop fails

I have only seen evidence of approx ten people (the likes of Tyger Tyger, Circumcised, Hapless Tiger) who think the name change is a good idea so say so publicly.

Make that 11 with AA himself.

This whole name change push stems from hubris and bruised ego, rather than sound commercial theory.

I think AA has somehow managed to convince himself because he wants to slight Hull City council.

And if he wants to drop 'City' because it reminds him of Hull City Council, then why stop there?

Surely the next step will be to remove 'Hull'? It has negative connotations for many in terms of employment, crime, benefits and health, I'm sure he can pay some market research firm to present that conclusion to then justify his decision to remove Hull from our name.

It's also because he failed the get the HU11 CTY registration plate that he tried so get in March this year for the club and the city of Hull, his words - if he doesn't get his own way he has a hissy fit - he's a very nasty man

If it was just the OSC, they'd still be told in no uncertain terms that we're against it. The OSC's poll showed the lowest proportion of anti-name change fans of all the polls I've seen but still had a majority of 67%.

We're all more bothered about health etc of course, but this is a football forum so we'll talk about football primarily. You could say that about every topic discussed on this board. There's always something more important obviously. Doesn't mean this isn't important does it?

Being on a football forum doesn't mean we forget there's more important things then the name change though .

People seem to Still think your not a real supporter if your not dead against the name change ...but that's rubbish

There's people who have being going for years that don't think it's such a big deal. And would still go if we was in div 4 on both sides and some wouldn't

Just as somes singing city till I die would sod off if we end up in div 4, and some wouldn't.

The Anti brigade and the don't really care to much
Brigade both have loyal fans AND plastics .

I don't dislike anyone from either side .

Even those who totally disagree with me.

It would be great if we could agree to disagree as they say.

    And yes that includes me

Agree with most of that but you originally posted saying there are more important things, implying that this should stop us from caring about/campaigning against the name change. It shouldn't.

I admit that I'm more bothered about staying alive for the next few years than Hull City changing their name to Hull Tigers.

To be fair he wasn't exactly saying that. He may want us to, though. I think he's more silly than nasty.

It makes you look like you're talking to yourself, which is a bit weird.

What if we wore scarves which said "Hull City since 1904"? How would he justify banning them?: "It's his club", I suppose.

I don't even have one at the minute but I might buy one just to see how they justify telling me to take it off.
