If you're going to sack a manager, why don't teams ensure a seamless transition by lining up a successor before they do it?
Im amazed by this. I thought he was well thought of. There must be something bubbling in the background there for this to happen
Relating this to the Brady thread, i'm not saying he is **** or has become ****. I said he was doing a stewart. What I mean is he seems to be 'lost' on the pitch - there were a few times yesterday when brady was slowly jogging around and looking about as if he didnt know where he was. I wouldn't mind as much if he was actually getting on the ball and trying stuff that didnt come off. I think he has to start the next game and play all of it to try and shake the cobwebs out. West brom mad to sack clarke.
It's modern life. Over-reaction to everything. We see it in sport, politics, music, etc. Complete lack of stability and level-headedness.
Unless the owner and one or two others do it very discretely it could get very messy. Maybe better to sound out a few people and if they seem interested do the sacking and then see who else is interested. I can't really think of many managers out of work who would be better than Clarke. Managers in work would be more likely to want a contract that offers security.
Well it pissed off the young lad Berahino. Lineker mentioned he had a Twitter rant about it. Re Long, Clarke nearly sold him, so I doubt he'll be so pissed off.
No he wasn't. Apparently. http://metro.co.uk/2013/12/15/saido...larke-sacking-i-just-had-a-flat-tyre-4231047/
If we got relegated there'd be people calling for his head, and if Allam did sack him there'd be others who'd start saying it was the right decision and they hated him all along.
As fractured as we are on most subjects, I highly doubt anyone would suggest that at all. Well maybe one of two trolls might but no one calling themselves a fan would say that. We're playing the best football, with the best team, the best manager and the best owner I can ever remember. People may disagree with the owner part of that but I'd be surprised if anyone disagreed with the rest of it. Not that I expect that would happen. Bruce is not Barmby and it looks like mutual respect exists between the two of them, thank god.
You would doff your cap as you were told to - whatever the situation. Tell me more about how you stood up to WYP's heavy handedness please.
