Seemed like the poorest game flamini has had this season which was disappointing as the defence was exposed time and time again in a way which i haven't seen this season. City are unbelievable going forward they've pounded top teams at home which is no coincidence. I was dreading this game, as it was obvious the players were going to be knackered especially Giroud who has been absolutely run into the ground and needs a rest. Think hes getting abit too much flack on here, when he was fit and fresh early in the season lots of you guys were fans of his. He really needs someone to share the workload with for the 2nd half of the season.
Agreed. We basically gifted City those goals and didn't take some of the chances we made. The scoreline could have been equally as flattering to us if we'd done some of the basic things right, but you can't go giving players like Aguero, Negredo and Silva the ball on a plate like we did and we got punished for it. Overall, I'm disappointed with the way we lost today, but it's not a disaster. We're still top and we've got both away games in Manchester out of the way now.
Not his best day to have s stinker. Luckily we have a 9 day rest before our next game and Podolski will be back and Oxo will be in training
I watched the last 25 minutes and we looked pants. We were all over the place and Wenger got his subs wrong. We are currently on a poor run after getting beaten by Napoli, outplayed by Everton and hammered by Man City. We really have to change the momentum now and that starts with NOT LOSING to Chelsea. In my opinion both Chelsea and Man City are joint favs to win the Premier league and out priority is to minimise the amount of points both these teams get. We lost 3 points to Man City but we really have to avoid getting beaten by Chelsea. I don't even think a victory is necessary, just that we stop them from getting closer to us.
Just take a look at the teams that have beaten city . They have done it by getting in their faces FAST , giving them NO time on the ball . We did precisely the opposite , facking disastrous policy . We basically watched as they walked 3 of the goals in .
mmm , ok but at this point , City are dropping point away regularly . Chelsea are just not that good and WILL drop points , today was a disaster for the way we played , but im not overly concerned ...yet , IF ........... "HE " starts getting some goals , we are still good to go . But that seems to be a bigger IF every week .
Chelsea and Man City are joint favs, along with us, despite their sketchy away form. They WILL get better as they both have very good squads and top managers. Our priority is to maintain our momentum and that starts with Chelsea. If we lose the Chelsea game then I fear that the pressure will get to us and it will knock our confidence. The big problem is that we've been poor against all three teams. For me that is the most worrying thing. I just hope that this will not carry on into our next game.
Not only is the defending pathetic, the attitude is pathetic, the way Flamini, Wilshere, and then Gnarby, how pathetically they gift the ball to City leading to score, all in all pathetic from Arsenal today, just like in mid-week, the old Arsenal is starting to come back sadly.
Wow, no analysis of whether Arsenal can win the league after that. For sure it will come up 2morow. To be fair, with that **** we've produced, and the rubbish vs United, we are giving ammunition to the pundits to discredit our title ambitions, and next week against Chelsea, should we fail again, then once again we're giving them more ammunition, it's up to us to prove them wrong, and beating Chelsea would be a good way to shut them up for a short time.
I'm banned from there, bunch of pussies they are, can give it, but when given back, they just block you.
A side that lost 6-0 at the very same ground has absolutely nothing to boast about. Funny how they can all forget that result.
Liar. I just reread our rivals watch thread to confirm my earlier reading and 1 poster said that. And only 1. There will be no prizes for guessing his name . You can't take the words of 1 person and turn that into "they're all".
to be fair , why even go to the spurs board , and read what they say , apart from the fact that they will be lolling their socks off at any Arsenal loss , as we would do at their losses ,to me its irrelevant what Spurs fans say ........... Im just focussed on our next game . Its just banter..... let them have their fun .
I said this right from the KO yesterday, that we needed to press City better and stop allowing them time on the ball. We basically sat back and allowed them to attack and then made too many errors and City punished us.
Poor tactics by Wenger to sit back against a team with some of the worlds best attacking players. We sat back against Napoli too and nearly lost our champions league spot. We really have to take advantage of Chelsea's poor run at the moment. I really do hope we pick up our play as soon as possible otherwise Mourinho will out smart Wenger tactically and nick a result.
