I think at least half the teams in the 2nd tier of English football would probably win the silly pointless league. I'm looking forward to Man Utd coming to the KC on Boxing Day, what exciting and interesting games do Celtic have left to play this season?
If you want to go down this route of playing against European heavyweights, at the start of this season as fixtures were announced, how many games were Celtic guaranteed to play against European Cup / Champions League winners? Off the top of my head I think we were looking at 6 such games. Between them they'd won - again off the top of my head - 7 such titles. Even last season, not in the top division, we were guaranteed 2 games a season against a team with 2 of these titles to their name. The SPL is ruddy massive.
Apart from us, who would obviously go 30 points clear in December, wait for their fans to reach peak optimism and then **** it up
Dundee united last 5 games have scored 4 or more , I am betting man believe me they would beat you , they have a player Ryan Gauld 17 year old worth more than your whole team put together ,. Why are there so many scottish managers in your league ?? Not forgetting sir alex !! He will never slag our game , winning european trophies with scottish teams while you had 3000 at your games
It's simple. Managers think they want serious thinker types as managers, and scottish ones are dour miserable bastards that look like they know what they're doing. Same for scouse managers. Dour people get a lot of manager jobs.
I notice you dodged my question. Youre the one who brought up illustrious opposition yet when I respond you wander off piste. Hmmm. I'll throw it right back at you - why don't these 'Scottish managers' choose to manage in their own MASSIVE domestic league? And I don't think Sir Alex won European trophies (plural) with Scottish teams (plural).
That's criminal. If some soft **** actually wagered on that, the bookies would make a profit just by resting your bet in their bank account. You'd get a bigger pay out putting your money in an ISA. That's how much of a joke Scottish football is.
Aberdeen 2 european trophies , dundee utd 1 champions league semi final , uefa cup final , celtic winners of european cup , final of uefa cup final , the other team in Glasgow who died did appear in european finals all from a wee nation of 5 million that achieved that ??? Then .we hull famous for rugby league
I didn't ask that. I asked how many European Cup / Champions League winners you are guaranteed to play against at the start of the season? If youre going to choose to answer questions that I didn't ask then you're pretty much admitting what we all know.
When did Dundee Utd get to the semi finals of the Champions League? The point is that your league is dying, it's dog awful and any sparse success you may have had in the past will never, ever return. Ever. Mainly due to the old firm strangling the life out of Scottish football.
Estimated values if they were chased today (and I'm going to be conservative here): Huddlestone - we paid £5m and everyone is waxing lyrical about him so he's at least retained his value. Davies - £5m Chester - £2m Figgy - £1m Elmo - £1m Livermore - we don't own him but you didn't specify that £3.5m Sagbo - £3m. I wont even go into the rest to be honest, we've already reached a certain point. So to clarify, you're saying this Dundee Utd 17 year old will go for more than £20m. That's really interesting, considering the top scorer in Scotland for the past few years went for less than £8m....
Well considering Villa previously paid double that and he's now in his prime as the best defender and captain in the best home defence in the country's top division I'd suggest if we said he was available for £5m we'd have dozens of teams bidding. But of course we wouldnt sell so low. How much did you pay for Matt Mills again?
The reason our league is dying is disgusting teams like HULL , swansea , stoke , Fulham , west brom , cardiff , norwich all nobodies in world football have sky money and sugar daddies and now think their important .Has there ever been a decent game amongst these teams ?? Answer no , tonight was the proof . Now Nottingham Forrest there is a real team , 2 european trophies , greatest English manager EVER, in charge ( no a failer like bruce ) brian clough . He actually said when we went to city ground " how many tickets do you want" we replied gives us the 34000 we would sell them ourselves !! Nottingham never played ball only gave us 18000 .these were the days you had 3000 at your HOME Games
Lovely another 'history' boy. Forest under Billy Davies were a set of dirty ****s when we last played them. 5 of the teams you mentioned play good football. You're full of ****.
