Maybe, but he's not an out and out attacking winger. Wez Burns looks like he's going to be a great player, when him and super Bob mark2 came on we looked good. That format allowed Baldock to stay in position rather than chasing lost causes.
If all we have is 2 prospects for the future then we are in real trouble. There is no need to worry because the 5 pillars will secure our future if the 2 great prospects don't work out for us.
More than two Mike, Bryan had a bad game today. But I saw him clutching his thigh when they was about to kick off, maybe he was carrying a knock as he had a off day today. Derrick Williams and Wynter are also ones for the future. Kevin Krans and Joe Morelll who I've not seen them play yet, are getting good reviews along with some others. Maybe someone who's seen the youngsters play can give you some more info. We also have established players like JET and Baldock and players to come back like Kelly. We might be struggling, but there are some bright lights.
Does anyone know if Joe Bryan substitution at half time was tactical or injury? If tactical then SC has already lost me because Shorey is oneof the worst players I have ever seen play for City. And just what sort of central midfield was that? SC just like SOD, picked a team that showed he was more scared of Rotherham than an effort to go at them! We are doomed without a shadow of a doubt.
I've just posted above you Cidered. When they was about to kick off, he was clutching the back of his thigh.
Now tell me if i am wrong, but what does bryan bring to the team,he does not want to go past players,he does not show real guts,he seems very timid.sorry the odd bit here and there does not do it for me.
Got to be honest, I am not to surprised and it is getting increasingly difficult to remain positive about City at the moment. In fact football in general England are also phish poor and the Prem is out of control, both financially and the influx of over rated foreigners that are just poor and add nothing, pains me to say it but I am starting to not care about the game anymore.
Wynter who looks a good prospect wont stay here long having to play second fiddle to Elliot, who looks like he can barely move..
If Wynter is good enough, he'll play. simple.. Steve Coterill or even SOD for that matter aren't stupid, if they see a decent player they will play them no doubt, I don't think Wynters all that Maybe if he stopped posting his cringe worthy tweets and concentrate on playing then he might get in the team And as for Elliot barely moving, shhh.. don't upset the special one.
I just saw the goals Elliott was moving back and back and back, if it wasn't against us it would of been comical.
Thanks for the points .... Think steve will turn it round, january is key, bring in players he wants and youll be fine, good luck rest of the season x x
Steve Cotterill interview after the game gave me hope. He knew what was wrong and said so - did not hide it. Most telling thing was that he said he already knew exactly what he needed in January.
FFS give the man a chance, one game in? I like the comment about us not playing with tempo, something that SOD's passing tactics sort of negated. To often teams open us up with quick football, something we should be doing to others. I also have top disagree with the assessment of Joe Bryan, yes he may have had a bad game, but at times has been one of the only players that attempts to get forward quickly. Oh how quickly "we" forget his goal against Rovers. He needs to be played in the right position to fulfill his potential.
"Maybe if he stopped posting his cringe worthy tweets and concentrate on playing then he might get in the team" Tell me? Why do you read them then?? You don't think Wynters all that? Do you think any of our players are 'all that'?
I think we will see Joe Bryan getting better and better, convinced he had a knock definitely saw him grip the back of his thigh at kick off. With SoD he looked restricted as some said he didn't come inside was and hang round certain parts of the pitch, like instructed. Wes Burns did not play for SoD, so probably not used to playing to zonal positioning and played with freedom. I think once they learn that SC wants them to play with freedom Joe Bryan will just get better. The way we played at the end, is the way SC wants to see them play. I'm looking forward to seeing this high tempo game because if that was a short preview, it looked entertaining. The players will loosen up as SC said once they've escaped their shackles seemed like saying they was restricted before.
Reading Cotterill's thoughts on the game, it is obvious to me that he is playing a side that are still enshrouded in the playing style of SOD. SC says we failed to move the ball around quickly enough, that our play was too slow which gave the opposition time to regroup. SC needs time to reorganise the instincts and minds of the players. Unfortunately, as he mentioned in the report, he does not have that luxury. Its another white knuckle ride, but keep faith in SC and I have a feeling he will eventually turn it around. He needs maybe to bring in some untried players from the squad, players who are relatively untouched by SOD's tactical influence (ie Burns, Wynter) I still maintain that we will walk away with the Div 1 title next season
