McGregor (some great second half saves earned us a point) Livermore (good old reliable Jake...does the hard work in MF) Elmo (worked really hard...great energy...won a lot of headers...missed the key one though).
McGreggor kept you in it to be fair. Stoke would probably be the team more frustrated but a point is probably the fair result.
Arnautovic Assaidi North stand crossbar Jesus Christ those pair each had the ball in a 'got to be a goal' position, greedy bastards both went for glory and cost their team two unmissable chances because of it. Elmo Sagbo McGregor Special mention for Graham who I thought looked far better tonight, revitalised but still missed the opportunity to go 1 on 1 with abysmal first touches. He's done it far too often and did it at least twice tonight, that's his main problem. Could be a confidence thing, another goal or two and his touch might return with his confidence.
Mcgregor. No one else. Faye should have played and defffo should have been on second half when we were under the cosh. Livermore was poor really poor. Unforgivably he pulled out of a 50/50 as did Hudd right at the end against that little **** Charlie Adam FFS. Robbie Brady was truly shocking. Doubt he'll make the bench next week. Sagbo is just bizarre, his touch and control is excellent but he seems to have no idea where he is on the pitch. It looked like a worked move long throw from Figgy great header on from DG and Sagbo's on his heels just staring at DG!!! A team we should have put away, in the end we were hanging on. Lack of drive from midfield.
Sagbo McGregor Davies In addition to what has been said, thought Figgy looked a liability at times, and Bruce must have had words with Graham at half-time. Something like "Run for the ball, you fat, lazy ****er" as he put more effort in second half.
McGregor Davis Livermore Also impressed with Bruce Jnr and Graham put in a good shift. Thudd played to deep 2nd half to hurt them
Elmo McGregor Davies Agree with a lot of this but not the bit about Faye. We couldn't keep the ball and kept getting penned in our own half. Before that defending crosses wasn't a problem because they didn't get into the positions to cross. We needed to keep the ball better like we did first half, not just throw a big man on, accept a load of crosses and try to defend them. We'd have been more likely to eventually concede from one of them had we done that IMO. Sagbo looks miles better than I thought he would after his first game or two but he needs to stop all this going down holding his face it's ****ing embarrassing. Chico tried getting him sent off at Swansea and one of their lads did it early on today too. He should rise above it but did the same thing twice today. He needs to put that effort into playing football instead.
