This is by far the worst this season, oh for the sod haters hope you are happy so far.
Why play the same set up that has not worked prior to sc employment.
    Div 4 here we come.
Complete and utter shambles from this over paid, over hyped bunch of pussys.

Sc sort it before it is too late.
    Rubbish team selection.rubbish performance.

SOD WAS TAKING US DOWN ANYWAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Funny how no one blames our relegation last season on SOD, we were supposedly already down despite half a season left. Yet, he leaves us bottom of the table a year on in a lower league, yet we should all be gutted he is gone and curse ourselves for wishing him out the door!

And you wanted him out anyway RR!

It would appear that we have poor team no matter who is in charge. Not what I wanted to hear over my morning coffee but hang on City have just scored!

Still listening and have just seen that we went down a goal way too early and then conceded again before half time and that is a bad habit that needs to be eradicated. With this bunch going down 0-2 is a no brainer and the lack of commitment coupled with the inability to show strength to come back from adversity will get us relegated.

Probably 10 minutes left and will stay on the wavelengths to hear the final score which must make me a masochist. Apparent time wasting by the Millers and the crowd seem restless - not surprised, but unsporting by the opposition. Getting a bit stroppy right now and the referee seems to be unable to get the game under control and allow us to play. Even if we do equalise we are still dead last in the division and it would appear SC has a major task on his hands and he will need more than good luck to keep us up. Not sure the transfer window will be our ally because when you are this low it takes something more than special and I can't see anything about City that gives me that confidence.

Final score: City 1 Rotherham 2. Not good.

I personally was highly unimpressed with the fa cup game inver, but not expecting miracles with this manager. Dont know what the game was like today, but from the stats you can see they had a similar amount of possession as the dark days of SOD, but at least we had some shots on target and there were players getting in the box!

Could expect results immediately, but we are now bottom of the league- We have 2 of our next 3 games against teams in the relegation zone.-

Its said that the bottom team at Christmas usually goes down- We need a win next Saturday to ensure we aren't.

Your are right it was sad to see SOD go but it was required.

Until Bobby Brown and Wes Burns came on,we looked a doomed side.

These two injected some pace into the side and we looked better.

God help us,if two youngsters are the shining light in trying to keep the second highest paid squad in the division up.

I did like SC interview, he seems to know what needs to be done,he says that will stay private with him and the board.
January could be too late to keep this club in the 3rd tier, more likely the 4th tier beckons.

The first half was the worst I have seen this season and the deficit of two was flattering. It could have realistically have been four and five. Rotherham poured through midfield, always had options v a team that had no obvious shape, which was a direct consequence of the Managers tactics and selection. It was not obvious what was being attempted.

    Second half aspects were ok.

    Reid should start full stop.

Do we actually have a "best squad" anywhere within this group of players? From what I saw at Tamworth and heard today I just cannot see us pulling away from the relegation zone and when you consider we basically need to win 2 or 3 games on the trot to even stand a chance of getting away from the bottom group, and then we need the other teams to drop points to help us in our quest.

As you say gdknac we need a win next Saturday but if you take the prospects out even further we need to win all the games against our relegation rivals. Anything less will probably see us rooted to the bottom of the table, or close to, going in to the New Year and that is never a good thing. Out future will possibly be determined over our next 6 games and if we do have to dip in the transfer window we know full well that any new players will take time to gel with SC's tactics.

I am really starting to fear the worst and all the same fears were passed around by our posters this time last season, with some saying we only needed time to get better, and look where that got us. Time is close to running out.

Heard about "Cotterball" but today the Manager who coaches unveiled zonal chaos theory.

If it does run past you boot laces don't mark it and if three and four sneak past less hope they miss.

Thirty minutes in the Manager who coaches was breaking records Ashton Gate was booing his zonal chaos theory already.

    That WAS a shambles.

Half time the Manager who coaches decided zonal chaos theory wouldn't work. They got better ... No **** Sherlock.

'was a direct consequence of the Managers tactics and selection' - SPOT ON.

Have I got to spell it out.

JET is our most/only creative player.
So you play him behind the front 2.
    Still with me Steve ?
Playing him up top totally negates Jets value to the team -You may as well play Parish there.

So after 1 league game my assessment is that you are an idiot.
You're set up was bizarre and substitutions changed nothing.
I mean WTF does Shorey bring to the party.
Gillett is only 12 and his role from goal kicks was laughable.
He pinged one out to Cunningham head high who couldn't control it and yet Cotterill boll*cked Cunningham FFS.
Last week Cotterill said Elliott would stay in his own half which makes sense - he sure didn't today and consequently Rotherham time and again 1st half ran 50 yards unchallenged, you cant expect a 12 year old to help.

The last 20 minutes improved performance only papered over huge cracks in Cotterill's selection and set up.

I see absolutely no hope - it's almost as though we're trying to get relegated.

Sad state of affairs all around and I am starting to think we are destined for the bottom tier. I have received a lot of bad press because I tend to bring up our lousy past which has led us here and yet if you look at the facts our current position is down to a lousy board making lousy decisions and an owner who claims he bleeds for Bristol City standing by and letting this debacle happen.

History has a habit of coming back and biting you in unpleasant places and that is exactly what is happening now and I just can't see anyone being able to fix the rot that has set in to all aspects of Bristol City. So much money wasted on bringing in lousy player after lousy player and never paying the piper to bring in a decent manager, and my apologies to SC for using that phrase because the problems were not caused by him and he regrettably has been asked to pick up the shattered dreams of our supporters.

All the kings horses and all the kings men could not put Humpty Dumpty together again. Rings true doesn't it!

O'driscolls last five included two wins, two draws and two proper performances v Carlisle and Orient. So the team obviously had ability, and an abilty to defend. Today was the worst first half, any half since the capitulations under McInnes. There is time, but if City defend like that front to back each week they will not gain another point this season. It was a horrorshow tactically, City were carved apart, but also parted themselves, and that is the Managers tactics [whatever they were] fault 100%.

And who's overpaid, over hyped bunch of pussy's was it, your great manager, that was going to take us to the promised land, RR, SC has inherited a bunch of players, that is either not good enough, or underperforming by a mile, blimey mate one league game and your already moaning about team selection, ok we lost, so in hindsight he may have picked the wrong team, but how many times did your mate do the same, nearly every game i suggest.

Sod biggest downfall was players not being played in right positions,SC played it right at Tamworth, today was wrong from the start.
Personally think his no2 pemberton is still highly involved in team selection etc.
SC was to the point on Radio Bristol after the game, hopefully he new today starting line up was wrong.<steam>

Love the negativity on here already.
Today I saw two excellent prospects for the future. Cotterill said don't judge on the first few team sheets as he needs to see them play as a team in front of a crowd. Today he said after the game that he has made his mind up on a few players.

Will we go down? Only time will tell.

26 games to play for, we won't win but I'm still confident of my 12-15 position.

And I actually thought Wagstaff plays better at RB

'I actually thought Wagstaff plays better at RB' - Not wrong RODney.

However, it was an easy baptism with Rotherham sitting back and playing out time.
Away from home and under pressure he'll be found out.
