One of the most intense games I've seen in years. Gutted to lose, but it was very entertaining. I think the **** ref and linos did **** all for us though, who knows what might have happened if they'd done their job properly.
Agreed. Ironically it looked like Mertesaker might be off for his goal, although it wasn't conclusive.
Pretty much. Just have to look at the positives, learn from the negatives and prep ourselves for the next game. Still 6-3 ****ing hell
Hopefully the Kos injury is not serious, because as soon as Verm came on, our defence fell apart. Hardly a coincidence.
The lino's bottled it and ****ed up on four crucial occasions. The ref did **** all for us too and I don't just mean for the pen. Decisions like the one where Nasri went down under no pressure and the ref gave a free kick, but allowed Wilshere to get pulled down from behind and let it go were indicative of the whole game. Plenty of other little decisions like corners going against us too. I think we would still have lost, but the officials didn't help us one bit
Ramsay and Ozil were anonymous today. Wrong day for them to go missing. Bendtner, against expectations, looks like a handful.
Anyway, you have to in the end credit City and how good they are going forward. After Bayern, probably the best team going forward, especially at home. Guess one billion buys you a decent team, eh.
On the positive side as long as Kosc is back in the team against Chelsea i'm confident we will defend far better. And we scored more goals at the etihad than any other team has this season and could have scored more. I'm confident we will get goals against Chelsea, especially with Theo back in the team.
Wilshere spent most of the game on the floor, again. So lightweight, constantly running into trouble, such a frustrating player.
Tbf most expected us to lose but it was frustrating because whenever we looked like getting back in they shut us down. Thankfully they are crap away from home.
Walcott is the only real positive for us to take from this game. The finish for his second was magnificent.
So whatare the chances that Palace with take points off Chelsea and ensure they can't overtake us evenif we lose to them?
I know. The way Vermaelen just went to sleep to let Aguero score the first goal was criminal defending. Oh wait, that was Koscielny
One mistake can always happen. But when Verm came on, the whole defence just lost it shape and was all over the place. Have we ever looked like that when Kos and Per are in the middle together?
