please log in to view this image Doncaster Rovers v Leeds Utd Leeds team news Scott Wooton is back in the frame for a recall after recovering from an ankle injury sustained a month ago at Charlton. You may recall Wootton scored on his debut against Doncaster at the Keepmoat back in August in the second round of the Capita Cup, winning the game 3-1. McDermott will check on the fitness of Tom Lees before the game at Doncaster Rovers on Saturday. Lees was forced to miss the home game with Watford last weekend through injury. Striker Noel Hunt is hoping to return to training this week after missing the past two-months through injury. This is great news for Leeds as we prepare for a busy festive program that will see three games in nine games towards the latter part of the month. Jamie Ashdown and David Norris will once again miss out through injury whilst Paul Green is unavailable with a hamstring injury. Doncasters team news Yun Suk-Young has recovered from an ankle injury and was back at Cantley Park this week after returning to QPR for treatment. Harry Forrester, James Husband and Paul Keegan have all stepped up their respective rehabilitation programmes over the last week. While Dickov was also boosted by Chris Brown’s earlier than expected return to action at the Reebok Stadium. However, the returnees won’t be rushed back into the starting eleven. Dickov said: “Yun’s got a slight chance tomorrow. He’s not done a lot of work, he’s been with the fitness coach most of the week. “He’ll join in [today] and we’ll have a look at him for Saturday. “But with him and Browny we’ve got to be careful because they’ve been out for a four to five week period. “What we don’t want to do is push them back in there too early, as in starting them, and then lose them for the Christmas period. “We put Browny on the bench last week with a view to only using him if we really had to. I wasn’t expecting to be in that position at half time, needing to change it. But he’ll be a lot better with 45 minutes under his belt and I thought he made a difference. “Kiko and Theo have done really well, and the team’s done well to pick up the points we have since he’s been out. “But it’s no secret we’ve missed Browny with his presence up there and the way he brings other people into games.”
Morning Mr Back. Donny away. Please tell me we're going to start with Brown instead of Mowatt to add a bit more steel to our CM for this away fixture. We can always bring Mowatt on 2nd half if we're cruising. Good news that Hunt is back. Gives BMD options for when he's fit. Also gives him the opportunity to show he is worth retaining now that we have a system that seems to work.
Good thread. Is this a genuine name "Yun Suk-Young"? How politically incorrect can you be. Might do as a nickname for Dave Jones perhaps.
I wouldnt be in no rush to drop Mowatt. The kids coming good and its one of those games that can really be grabbed by the scruff of the neck. Mowatt & Murphy click and we could run this lot ragged, although I understand your point about Brown adding a bit of steel, he can also be a liabilty with his love of a foul!
I like the idea of adding a bit of bite for a local derby. Shame we don't have Diouf. If we were wining by a few goals by the sewcond half, I'd give Wootton a run out.
Cheers fella, though can't wait for Durham to return from Vietnam. I could maker a joke about Yun Suk-Youing, but I can#t bring myself to do it....
Besides our match this weekend, which we need 3 points from, theres some real top of the table clashes that may see some consolidation at the top, or they could all be draws which would help us. Leicester V Burnley B/Pool V QPR Charlton V Derby Hudds V Reading Forest V Ipswich. Prefer the top 2 games to be a draw and then hope Charlton whack Derby. Hope Hudds can beat Reading to make it easier for us to catch and then a nice draw between the trees and tractor boys because we dont want 'job done' getting away and we dont want the tractor boys to overhaul us.
Mowatt isn't being dropped Bucks, its horsees for courses and its a squad game. So Mowatt would be on the bench, but away from home in a local derby, it's arguably better to start with Brown being he's a more solid midfielder.
Local derby, cards flying about-Brown off is my worry! But yeah if its a battle you would want Brown and Rudi in the mix I suppose!
Be interesting to see how Derby cope with the Charlton pitch, been raining heavily all day down here so far. Then again Derby won't bring anywhere near as many fans to the Valley as we did so it'll probably be postponed
Play Mowatt and Brown, Ross up front on his own, Austin and Mowatt breaking through from midfield, 3-6-1 formation, that'll confuse them - at least we'd boss the middle of the park
Morning pal, Our away form is very temperamental. Think we have only won 4 times this season on the road. We beat Donny at the Keepmoat earlier in the season in the League Cup 3-1
Don't know why but just got a horrible feeling it's going to be one of our off days. Personally wouldn't lay money on Leeds winning today
