i had harped on for ever for a spectrum 128k and opened all my presents and didnt get it, my gran had her own room in our house with her own conservatory, i took it on the chin, i watched with the same glee as always as my mam, dad and gran opened there presents, then gran spotted something in the conservatory - a spectrum in a box filled with foam pieces!

my prem baby scheduled for march coming home in time for xmas goes without saying

Might be a sentimental old sod but one that really touched my heart was when my then 6 yo son bought me some shaving foam from his own money.
Really touched my heart that did. Still got the empty can.

when i was 11 i had 3 jobs, i was a bottle boy over the road at the morning star in lowestoft, i had a paper round and i used to help at the greengrocers and i saved all my pennies for xmas, my so called uncle Peter stole my money from the place that it was held, (our house) i had about £20 in 1986 i had done well.

We got it back and was no longer my mams sisters husband for much longer. I bought everybody sentimental gifts that year and they all still remember
