Are you going tomorrow Pi / Circa ? Which part of the ground ?

Do you honestly think nobody would be protesting if CTWD didn't exist ? And that they can control all protests ?

People are not happy and they will show their feelings

Hope you think I am not foolish enough to think that (my school masters always thought I was a little dim but even they would agree-if any are still alive-not that thick) and not sure reading my post again how you read that into it. Suggest you read it again.

As I am sure you realize its not so much the name, rather that the clubs benefactor and owner either gets or does not get his way. In the latter case he may decide to withold investment with subsequent negative consequences. As I said to you before in another post I am sure that you can think of a whole bunch of scenarios that would potentially affect our team in a less than positive way if Mr Allam did not get his way.

Respectfully yours forever a City supporter but happy to be called Hull Tigers to remain a premier league team.

Very well said. Good to read a rational argument on here, as opposed to this "its our heritage" claptrap. CTWD and its supporters should be very careful what they wish for. Mr.Allam's patience with their insults will not be infinite. And then you'll be "Hull City" without money, decent players, and heading for Div.2 like Portsmouth. We've had enough of phoney charlatans running the club to line their own pockets before leaving us in the lurch. Just remember the past 15 years CTWD and fellow travellers. You really want that all for the sake of one word????

Clap trap in your opinion. In mine, it's highly important. You may value money and success over heritage and culture - I don't.

Also, I take it you were attending regularly throughout the 15 years you mention?

And there was me thinking that the 72 million was a gift rather than a loan charged at 5%

Gift or no gift its kept us out of bankruptcy, allowed us to buy a bunch of excellent players and build the best team in our history, acquire our best ever manager, and be in mid-table in the Prem instead of playing in Div.1 in front of less than 10,000. What more do you want??? Oh I forgot...you want Allam out and our name to remain Hull City. Brilliant!!

Even Bruce admitted the atmosphere against Liverpool was great.

Would Uncle Brucie - in his days as a Newcastle United fan - have accepted a name-change to Newcastle Magpies? Not a chance. He'd have been singing 'United' with the best of them.

I cannot understand you pro-name changers getting so over-excited. Dr Allam won't want to lose his money so he won't pull out. The majority of City fans are clearly anti- name-change so they will keep singing City Til(l) I Die, the atmosphere as a result will be good and we will be more -- not less -- likely to stay in the Premier League.

The only way the FA will approve it is if they run scared of potential legal action from the good doctor. But as far as I know there is no right of appeal, their decision is absolute, and I fully expect Dr Allam to accept their decision --should it go against him -- as an easy get-out.

5% in today's climate is an excellent return. If I ever get my hoped-for voluntary redundo, I have no chance of finding a guaranteed 5% return.

I'd like to see Allam reduce his interest-owed to an inflation matching 2.5% or lower.

Canada Mr Allam had no patience with the council and he has none now with other people who have a different opinion.

Length of time going to games is surely irrelevant. I've been going since 1970 (44 years). Does that make my opinion more valid than yours? Of course not. All fans are entitled to their views if they've been watching 70 years or 1, if they are season ticket holders or can only afford to watch on telly. You don't get more right just because you have more opportunity to go to the games do you?

I don't understand why anybody thinks Allam will try to destroy a valuable asset he owns if he doesn't get his own way. He doesn't want to keep funding success on the pitch but I think he realises that it's the best way of getting his money back or even making a profit.

Try getting a loan when you are as credit worthy as Hull City were. £72m, most people wouldn't give us £50. At any interest rate. And, by the way, he is still putting more in than he is getting in interest.

We will still be Hull City, with the same heritage and history even if the name changes.

Does your Daughter stop being your Daughter if she marries?

Did Cassius Clay lose his Title because he became Muhammed Ali? Will we have to start again at the bottom or will we still be in the Premier League with the same players and Manager, the same fans (yes), and the same colours?

But if you had £72m to put in the Building Society? I think you'd be able to find more than 5%. Also, don't forget City can offset interest payments and Allam is (currently) ploughing the money back in.

And when did Assem Allam ask us if we wanted to get married and have a change of name?

Under Bartlett we owed £30 million, under Assem Allam we owe £70 million. Under Bartlett we owed it to the banks and the revenue. Under Assem Allam we owe it to Allamhouse Limited. How much of that money is cash in Assem allam's bank account and how much borrowed against the assets of Allam Marine. The only way we can compete in the Premier League is by finding an extra £20 million or so a year over and above what we are earning this season.

Can Allam Marine sustain that investment year after year? Do you know what its profits are? How the crisis in the middle east has affected sales? Assem Allam has said he has run out of cash, no more money he said. We could change the name and still end up in Division 2, just like Portsmouth.
