Do we need Nolan and Barton?

Just to echo everyone, it is vital they stay. They are the heartbeat of our team. They both have obvious ability but when you look back at matches like Arsenal home, the influence and passion both of those showed were the difference between us crumbling further or coming back to get something out of the game.

I will be very angry if neither of them are at the club next season.

 

I would definitely be looking for them to stay and fight for their places, we now have very good strength in depth in midfield if nobody leaves, its looking promising.

Now if only we could sort out the defence and strikeforce....

 

Strength and depth seems to but underestimated by some supporters. That was our problem this season, we have a great starting 11 but as soon as we picked up and injury or suspension we were ****ed. Every position needs adequate cover!

 

No. Barton should be in the first team imo, Cabaye has to work his way in.

All looks great, however when we get injuries who will we have to cover ??
We are desperate for extra numbers good players tho.Barton and nolan steady the ship.it will be great having new flair players but look at arsenal when the going gets tough.no back bone.if they go we are screwed.i thought we were building the club not selling

 

Agree completely. I think our best team next season has to contain at least Tiote plus one of Barton/Nolan. Which leaves 4 flair players, which is definitely enough
