    Agree with Mick...

It's not all NL's fault re dud singings, the scouting team takes blame as does the board ...

We all know there is not a lot of cash for fees n wages but I'd rather have seen two of decent quaility rather than Pukki, BoSelect, Biton and Balde ... what was that in outlay, 6/7m?

I dont disagree - but it seems to me like there are players signed that Lennon doesnt want. Now fair enough - if he is happy with that sobeit. It just frustates me that they sign players (for decent money - balde- and decent wages - ljunberg) but dont play them

Surely Lennon should have the final say? As in here is a player we can afford within the budget do you want him? Seems to me like he doesnt have that option. Im not even saying he can reject and say no spend £1m more. Just a case of why waste the money if the managers not going to play them?

I'm sure I heard that the scouts and Lennon draw up a list of players for a position and then hand it to Lawwell

That doesn't mean Lawwell won't add a few himself

On that note....the New Naka, Lennon was happy to talk about him as a target when in the past we normally keep our cards close to our chests....

Is Lenny trying to sabotage a Lawwell signing....?

My biggest grip is the buying of players like Pukki, Lassad and Miku ahead of giving our home grown players a chance. Our record of bleeding youth is a ****ing joke despite enjoying plenty success at at level. Ditching the reserve league was obviously a big problem is bridging the gap but other clubs have overcome it.

We should be able to develop at least 30% of our own squad, another 30% from the best available talent around Scotland and the rest is what he have to scout for. If you have the 60% already you will have more money available in transfer fees than you do if you have to scout your entire squad.

I agree - I've had my dog for about three years now and it hasn't bought me a pint of beer in all that time.

Lennon is aware of the players and their abilities before he signs them
Some players take time to settle at their new club . These players can
often take a whole season to settle down and play well.
Some players regard their new move to a bigger well known club
like Celtic as their goal in life and don't improve and soon are
out of the first team. The Manager cannot be certain of prospective
new signings until they are settled at new club especially when
    buying in the cheap market.

What does that matter re my point ...

The total outlay in the summer was circa £7m when, in my opinion, midfield wasn't the area needing strengthened ...it was CB and Striker. Virgil and Finnborgson would have done in my opinion.

New signings can take time, I get that. But if thats the case then we should have been looking to bring in lads like Balde a year ago (he was available was he not). If they are going to take time then we should have brought in a striker on loan (or a short term deal) who could compete now to cover the loss of Hooper and allow Balde to settle in without the pressure.

Bit like Biton. He didn't set the heather alight early days, but has been allowed time as we have an abundance in midfield. Now he's settling in and looking more ready to step up in coming months.

I worry about our next keeper if thrown in next summer as opposed to being brought in and given time to train with someone like Forster who can talk and coach him for 6 months a year so he is "ready" when Forster moves on.

Lol don't go to games but want to put an opinion on the table. At the game you see a lot more than on telly. Limited viewing. Finnbogason made it clear that at that time he did not want to come to Scottish football. May have changed now that he has had a reality check, but NL not to blame for that. Lennon got VDW. Don't believe the fees quoted in the media, they are mostly bollox.

Biton will become a very important player in the future. We lost Victor and Kayal is hardly ever fit. Biton is young, not a powerhouse, different from Vic but reads a game very well and passes out of defence better than Vic.

Forster coach him.....please FFS NO. Good natural shot stopper, but we need someone who comes out for crosses. Keeper at Milwall, forget his name just now can't be arsed looking, good at that and played for Ireland I am sure. Celtic minded probably, always better to have his type.
