http://www1.skysports.com/football/...ns-to-stay-behind-team-during-name-change-row Like Meyler's comment
The things is we're all behind the team- our team- Hull City. Someone else is trying to hijack this one and start a new doppelganger. The excuse being offered is he can't make ends meet. Maybe he should have heeded the old adage : don't buy what you can't afford.
Loved Meyler's comment. Mainly because they are true and any player distracted by what goes on in the crowd shouldn't be on the pitch
Yes, agree Meyeler's comments are good. On the way back from the Liverpool game listening to the radio my husband remarked on how many times Meyeler got "Hull City" into his interview. Was it just wishful thinking, I don't know. Will maybe have to try to find it somwhere and have a listen. I would like to think that he is sympathetic toward the supporters. I remember the Cardiff promotion match he was collecting a dead ball from just in front of the East Stand where we are and he looked up at us all and raised his clenched fist with a "come on we can do it" gesture. Would love to think what Rosenior thinks of it all as he comes across as a really intelligent bloke.
What absolute nonsense. Thank God we have Steve Bruce as a voice of sanity in this whole sorry episode. I'm behind the team...period...Hull City or Hull Tigers. Whatever the name its our team.
Just shut up you muppet this is not the point of this thread. The point of this thread is Bruce asking for it to stop being a distraction and get on with the football.
It certainly won't be you who decides what the point of the thread is Mr U-Turn..... I'm sure Steve Bruce is really grateful to his current employer for his impeccably-timed media own goals which regularly disrupt the pre-match preparations and force him to gave to answer questions on our proposed micky mouse name change instead of focussing on the Stoke game, right? Well done Mr Allam- with such an astute understanding of the media, you're reassuring current fans and potential investors alike that the club is in safe hands I can see SB doing a NP and baling out of a club run by a clueless autocratic maverick.

And David Meyler saying that fans protesting in the ground the way they have been isn't a distraction. Let's not forget that part eh.
David Meyler reminds me of Ashbee. He's a proper midfield warrior, he's driven. A new Ian Ashbee...how lucky are we ?
Allam apologists suddenly think singing a song with "City" in it is wrong. Why? So much for your opinion that we'll always be City even if we become Hull Tigers.
Quite interesting that you read it that way. I guess my suspicions were correct. No point in arguing with such agendas.
"You can hear the fans chanting all right but you're switched on to what your job is." It's interesting you'd read that any other way. Alternatively CTWD should claim all the credit for inspiring our victory over Liverpool and should be encouraged to make their protests even more vocal.
What did Steve Bruce say after the Liverpool game? Did he mention the atmosphere? I thought he did. CTWD has always got behind the team. Our protests during the match are aimed at getting behind the team and at Liverpool, despite being provoked, we did and were complimented on it. Yes signing City Till I Die at 19:04 started as a protest. It could be argued its almost a permanent part of Hull City now. I would ask supporters tomorrow to support the team and support our campaign chants. We've won enormous respect for our campaign within the football family. Tomorrow's the time to show the FA what a dignified, determined lot Hull City supporters are. They will some of the people who make the decision. City Till I Die, We say no FA, we say no, loud and proud please.
