I hope it's not just season ticket holders. Plenty of exiles like myself are as vehemently anti- name change as anyone. I've emailed the FA my views.
consultation ? ... wont happen .. as danny murphy , steve bruce and ray parlour and andy Jacobs have all said .... accept it and move on
why laugh ? ... its what I have said for a long while now ... but no one believed ... quite funny really
You do realise the FA are doing consultation? Or is your head that far up your arse that you can't see?
know more about business than most on here .. and I know the FA will bend over with a brown envelope in their pocket to get it done ... that's life I am afraid
That's a relief, you've been so wrong about everything else, I hope your predictions stay consistent.
Ah yes, because suddenly backtracking and not doing the fan consultation after announcing you would do it to all major media outlets won't look the slightest bit suspicious would it? You might (I can't stress the word might enough there) know more about business, but you clearly know **** all about anything else then.
The question is what weight will the FA give to the fans view ? The owner certainly wants to change the name, if other stakeholders (eg Sky, BT and Barclays) also have no objection will the fans view outweigh that of powerful businesses ? 20,000 dissenting voices v AA, Sky, BT, Barclays etc ? Only one winner I'm afraid......
Depends how many of those 20K are Sky BT & Barclay's customers & how much influence & negative attention they can create for these stakeholders.
Fans have been shat on for decades. Ticket prices, kick-off times, match day policing, etc. What makes you believe the FA will put the fans first in this matter ?
And what makes you so confident they won't? Nobody here knows what the FA are thinking, and we won't know for at least a few months.
