He's probably a Rochdale fan on some sort of coke trip, changed his name for the night, put his batman outfit on and screamed in the mirror 'let's go get them chuck'..

Some Newcastle fan in the pub said he will buy a round of drinks , if we can name the last European team sunderland played in European competition , think he's being canny cause the oldest guy here is only 75 years old.

60 years? My apologies, I thought you were on about our increase in numbers in the mid 90's, when our crowds grew, as did your own at the same time. We're "glory hunters" and your fans will be extremely loyal despite the fact that you've won nowt for years. <doh>

A harder question would be Name the team Newcastle last played in a European Competition off the Back of Newcastle qualifying via winning an actual major competition?

9th best marra and it's not 500+ points more than us. However if you look at the difference between Spurs and Arsenal, that must hurt.

I'd stick money on that he's that Tottenham fan that lives in Sunderland who used to post on the old 606. 'Jol started this' or something similar.. <ok>

There were no 'charts' in those days but if there were I'd say 'the Carter Family'.
