Liverpool's next three away fixtures: Spurs, City, Chelsea. Only a few days between the latter two, too. Bad time to be missing players, I think. What would our resident Scousers class as an acceptable return from those three fixtures in total and what do you expect to get?
The more level headed Scousers think they'll get about 9 points from those games and the rest think they can get at least 17 points and a trophy from those fixtures
4 points from the 9 would do me, and I think it's achievable. We need to limp in to January still holding on in the top 4. Then we can regroup, hopefully injured players will start returning and we can also get some much needed additions and crack on next year (we tend to improve second half of the season)
Tbf our record at the Lane is terrible in recent years and a point there will be a bonus, on our day we can beat anyone but it depends which "we" turns up and if Spurs decide the game against us is the game the new player's deliver.>
About how I see it. Depends on which of "you" turns up, and also depends if our playing better and more attractive football the last few games is the beginning of a trend or just a blip. We've got a couple of defenders hurt, including our best player so far (Chiriches). But that may not be as bad as it seems, since we may also have a starter coming back, and Capoue, who we bought as a DM, looked nearly as good at CB (where he has a good history) as anyone else this year. You're short on midfielders. Add it all up, and the odds on the game are likely to be near even. As you say, a draw would be okay for you, all things considered. We need a win, not so much for points or momentum as because we haven't beaten a team likely to be in the running for a CL spot: draws against Man U and Chelsea, losses to Arsenal and Man City. We're on the same page about our accomplishments.
Cheers. Let's hope no one gets hurt during the game, and may the best team win. Unless you're the best team, in which case, may the second best team win....
With all our injuries and the three games being away from home. It is possible we could get 0 points. But hopefully are replacements are hungty and the christmas period can chuck up some intteresting results. Id be happy with 3-4. Id be over the moon with 5+
I still kinda expect you to win at the Lane, although i can't predict that in the prediction leagues of course.
Even if that story's not true, he has to be the first Premier League manager to have been accused of having an affair with a trannie, surely? It's not like he's ever been spotted in any of the local establishments for Frankie Goes To Hollywood fans though, is it? First gay manager before any players have come out. Very progressive of Liverpool.
