http://www.westlondonsport.com/qpr/fulham-could-send-taarabt-back-to-qpr4837833? Happy days are here again, are here again.................. Doubts Over Taarabt’s Fulham Future 12/12/2013 By Lyall Thomas Fulham boss Rene Meulensteen has suggested that the club could look to send Adel Taarabt back to QPR in January if he fails to impress. The Moroccan is on a season-long loan with the Whites but struggled to break into the first team under previous boss Martin Jol Taarabt has made just three league starts and 11 appearances in all competitions this term, and the 24-year-old will be one of a number of players assessed when the transfer window reopens. “Whether Taarabt will stay or go is something to discuss in January,” Meulensteen explained. Fulham boss Rene Meulensteen Meulensteen plans to assess his squad in January. “It comes down to what we need in the squad and if there are certain areas we need to address. “Adel is a very talented player and so far I have worked with him well. I hope I can help him to fulfil his potential.” Striker Dimitar Berbatov’s future is also in doubt after Meulensteen admitted he would not block a move for the Bulgarian if he wanted to leave Craven Cottage when the transfer window opens. “I will not stand in anybody’s way if they want to leave,” the Dutchman said. “We will discuss what happens with Berbatov in January when we get there, and with John Arne Riise too. “We will take it game by game, and when we get to a situation when we have to discuss things with the relevant people, we will do.”
It'll be very interesting to see how he fits into the new ''right sort'' (christ I hate that phrase) squad that we have. The chances of Redknapp giving him game time are slim in any event.
Ah Kerry what are you doing?.....Isn't one Taarabt thread enough to be going on with? Queens will have his alarm set to wake him up when another Adel thread gets started..........
The Prodigal son went back home with some humility having learnt from his mistakes. That would not be a bad starting point for Adel....?
Perhaps 'Arry will give him a chance and try him out in the f'ing reserves! Couldn't do any worse than that very strong squad we fielded in the recent 1-0 loss to Bournemouth - perhaps Adel would gel that group together, or start a mutiny in the dressing room?
Absolutely none whatsoever! Although, it doesn't have ''Taarabt'' in the thread title so we may get lucky. Mutiny I hope, everything's just so boring and efficient at the moment isn't it.
Could he be useful - even vital to us for the second half of the season? Of course. Do I want him anywhere near our dressing room? $&@k no. And that's coming from someone who used to be a big supporter of his.
This - with knobs on. But if he comes back in January we know it won't be Adel's fault and Meulensteen will be joining the ranks of those who are not "a half-decent man manager".
Welcome home Adel Taarabt! Just the good news we need to push on in 2014. It will be like Joey Barton returning. Before long, we will forget he has ever been away.
Reserves. Lost using the first team squad players, Diakite, Chevaton, American defender who supposed to be quality, SWP, Kancjar, Ned....... Bit crap really. Here's the report. http://www.qpr.co.uk/news/article/101213-u21-bournemouth-report-1227260.aspx
