"I used to be a Taarabt supporter. But now I have come to terms with the fact that he's as thick as **** and can't make a single decision to improve his own footballing career. Never have I known a player with such potential squandered. I was always hoping he'd turn it around but I've lost the faith. I'm trying to forget he exists."

Having now seen the video clips, I'm having second thoughts about "this way of thinking": he did bring a smile to my face.

Danish, i will take yours as the most credible and valid post on this subjetc
i was accepted to loughbourough based on sporting / athletic skills and trained as a PE teacher. unfortunately i never progressed du e to becoming a Ski instructor but thats another subject.
i to (hope) to have helped kids develop. I used to run the year 7 footy when i was at 6th form. I was stuck with the likes of Paul Merson 7 Dixon helping me
i never used to allow my kids into the school team unless thier teacher ahd told me that hey had "actually tried" during thier studies, same as when i worked as a Tae kwon Do instructor..
All based around kids development and intergrationn into a team, unit, grouop etc...
Of course thier school results are affected by sporting victories, same as our social standing is seen as soon as we get laid as youngsters....
I think adel has had his chance & I'd much rather our club poured its thousands of funding into.... one of your kids for example...than keep pumping it into a player who has wasted what he has.
I too, like you, love youth football and spent many a time watching kids playing. So many problems involved but mainly the parents on the sideline...
like you said..Adel was our ticket to the Prem & Colin had no intention of sticking with him once there.
We are were we were last time we went up...why do we need him exactly?
Danish..I respect & comend you on the way you have posted on this subject. Like i say...Its opinions & I fully respect yours. <ok>

Queensie my man, it's getting late now - get to bed FFS. Thanks for the responses, I feel a sort of closure in all this.
By the way, even the parents are numbskulls here, we've got a team that has beaten ALL the big boys like FCK, Bronby and FC Nordsjealland yet the parents of ten year olds want to take their kids out of this team and put them already into these others which do not have half the love or attention put on to them. Queens, take a gander at the link, this boy is my nephew who I've talked about before, he's just made the 1st team squad for FCK at 18 and even though I say it myself a lovely, shy, respctful kid, he just made it into last 16 of the Under 19 CL on Tuesday after beating Madrid.

We even got to say hi to Mr.Alonso - Now that is a genius I could write all day about. Take care.

Do you ever look back at the things you post and think ''man, I sound like an idiot!''. If not, no worries.

I must confess Stan that where they train could be easily classed in the same breath. Have to be careful here because I'm in danger as coming accross as a complete cnut but my area is known in DK as "The Whiskey Belt" - and the reason why I could never come "home" other than to sample.

Mate, well done, thats brilliant & hope he carries on with the same drive & determination. looks like he has some skills.

Surely he and others are the sort of people our club should be putting money into and investing in?
Do Danish clubs have any links with clubs in England?
they should do because the like of HH, Sjolskar and others show that there is a wealth of talent.

have to agrre that it looks like White city estate though <laugh>

Haven't been on in ages, just thought I'd share this bit of news which I'm sorry but makes me think of Harry and his recruiting strategy comprising whatever is in his little Black Book.
Have just helped conclude the successful transfer of young Tobias to Elche (La Liga) from FCK with Mikkel Beck ( a loaner of ours back in 2001 or 2).

Tobias spent 2 years at FCK and got 0 mins playing time although the World could see he had the ball playing talent they were missing. The obsession with 6 ft 3 adonosis meant that successive trainers didn't fancy taking a punt.
He has now signed a 3 year contract playing a style of football which is 10 a penny in Spain but they see the talent - as did 3 other clubs around Europe.

What makes it even more significant is that they really don't have the money to invest in young foreign talent, but they did. He played his first match last Monday against Betis and set up both goals in 2-1 win. The coach is exstatic to have him and all looks good for a promising future.

One last thing- Gave our scouts the heads up and they couldn't even be bothered to take a look.

Brilliant Danish, this deserves a thread of its own and certainly not one with the T word as the title.

Be honest, you didn't expect our 'scouts' to turn up did you?

    Post more mate.
