I'm not sure if I wouldn't have rested Ozil if I had been making the call. Started Walcott instead and played Cazorla behind the striker.
I pray we get Barca or Bayern, at least we would be put out of our misery.... some fans on here do not realise Wenger has forgotten how to win!
Finishing top only guarantees you one KO round against weaker opposition. Let's face it, if we went out to Barca in the quarters would we really class that as a successful campaign as opposed to going out to them in the last 16? Not really fussed about finishing 2nd. More fussed about Wenger's complete tactical and psychological abomination last night... clearly had know clue how to play a game when only a 3-0 loss would knock us out.
What you are accusing me of in your first sentence, you are guilty of doing in your last. I don't know how you think logic would dictate anything, as it comes down to opinions, which is precisely what I was expressing. I didn't like your sarcastic reaction that 'of course we'd win 10-0 and that I thought I should be coach, that was a stupid thing to say. As for my rationale on Walcott, I think he would have offered an outlet on the right when we had the ball as he's quick enough to start from inside his own half and create a break. He also offers good cover on the right when we haven't got the ball as he's good at tracking back. In my opinion, the one thing I think we needed at that stage in the game last night was a route out of our own half and for somebody to support Giroud.
On the dot. I was crying out for Walcott to come on as his presence would have slowed Napoli's relentless attacking and we could have capitalised with some counter-attacks. There were a number of occasions when Giroud and co were simply too slow to take advantage of Napoli pushing forward. Also it would have given Walcott some much needed play time. I think we could have afforded to attack more considering we had a big 3 goal cushion. Instead we nearly got undone by playing a game we are not used to.
So now you have to resort to lying as well you pathetic excuse for a wum, they were not rested for our game, they were both INJURED, you dumb ****. Just ban this ****er already, he's not here for any real discussion, just here to wum, and he's now resorting to lying, what's the point of keeping this turd around.
Absolutely agree. Looks like the vast majority of people wanted Theo on & could clearly see the benefits his inclusion would bring.
You utter utter tit. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...-fight-in-crucial-Champions-League-clash.html
Has anyone seen this? please log in to view this image No idea if it's accurate, but by taking into account all of the teams these are the probabilities.
Sounds very plausible - since both the English and German clubs have to avoid the other clubs from their country they must have a higher chance of being paired together.
I don't care who we draw in the next round, I think we're good enough to beat anyone on our day and, perversely, I think we kind of need to beat a big club early doors to gain some belief. We have the players to do it, we just need to the confidence now. When I consider how pessimistic I was when we got the draw for the group stages I'm delighted that we've qualified, just slightly p*ssed off in the manner we lost top spot. For me, our mind set was all wrong. I firmly believe if we had had to win that game to qualify then we would have.
