So simple and obvious in my eyes, so why doesn't AA and his marketing team grasp it?? Why don't they organise a pre season tour/tournament in these countrys (each country for the next 4-5 years depending how many he wants to crack) he could then brand us as he liked across there and have things like special edition shirts available (based on the tiger maybe) for these games that are available to the fans across there aswell as the official kit. That way we keep Hull City and he starts cracking these foreign markets. Once the money rolls in we buy better players and do better in all completions which in turn gets is more recognition globally.
Can't be arsed quoting Miffs post but I'm seeing this type of response quite often on here. Don't any of you think there should be a 4? 4. Bought and owned by REALLY REALLY rich people/businesses who have ploughed literally millions in to buy success. Don't you think that might be partly responsible for their success? This isn't the 1970s, to be successful now doesn't just take hard graft, it takes hard cash, lots of it. The chances of being successful without it are low. Although I guess in part that depends on your vision of success. I'd like to believe the impossible and hope we can get into Europe and not just be a bottom 1/4 PL team fighting for survival every season.
But the Doctator says he has no more £££ available. So the name-change will raise that £££? Don't make us all laugh, Happy. He has done no research, has no plan.
Under FFP Allam cannot put anoymore of his Own money in even if he wanted to. That is the whole point of FFP. All new income has to come in from outside of the club. Yes he does have a plan and for all we know the name change is part of future investment. Only Twt as always. Regardless of your rose tinted view on this Dr Allam is far more successful than you shall ever be. FACT.
Ta for not answering the question, as I didn't expect anyone to. He saved us, he didn't plan on personally bankrolling our entire future success. The question is, without their owners doing exactly that, do you think those clubs would be as successful? We know he has no more money to throw at the club, that's what he's attempting to sort out. You might believe your last sentence but plenty of us do not.
If he'd bought you merely for the 'franchise' moved you 60 miles away, changed your entire name & removed any trace of the club that he bought, then that comparison would be a valid one mate....
Wow! That is probably the first FACT of yours that I have seen that is true! Regardless of that, AA's business success does not bestow any understanding of Football - as he has himself admitted. And WTF does "Yes he does have a plan and for all we know the name change is part of future investment" do to give us faith? There is no plan - your pal 3.onandonandonand etc has admitted it. We all know it. AA just won't back down now. He's painted himself into a corner and can't 'be'told'. It's down to the FA and all the uproar that CTWD and the various forums' fans have created is one strong way of influencing the FA's decision. Meek silence and "Trust Dr. Allam - he knows what he's doing. After all, he's a rich millionaire" won't have any effect on the FA. Bad publicity for AA and, by extension - the FA (if it does the wrong thing) are necessary weapons. Not wiffling platitudes and 'twt as always'. FACT?
I really can't see on what grounds the FA could realistically refuse their permission. Aside from the Wimbledon -> Mk Dons change, are there any other precedents around proposed name changes that give your case anything concrete to put to them?
What a load of old Tosh ^^^^^^ this is. FACT. Yes it is down to the FA and rule 3L. As i posted elsewhere, I dont dont see the FA wanting to open up this can of worms. But ffs, dont go on saying you know what is going on. Nobody outside of of Allams inner circle does. FACT.
If they open up this can of worms for us then many other owners will maybe go down that road as well. Time for the FA to show some backbone and say No to pointless name changes. MK Dons is a very bad example to use for obvious reasons. 20 odd years ago Southend Utd wanted to change to SUFC and that correctly rejected.
Not sure how potential bad publicity is a valid reason for them to refuse this request? They'll surely have to give a valid reason as to why they consider it to be inappropriate? fans groups saying they don't want it, doesn't constitute a valid reason, no matter how loud they shout. I take it that there has been no previous requests declined then?
I don't know the answer to that one, mate. Bad publicity won't appeal to them, surely - not with all the fixing/betting stuff that looks likely to emerge.
