Would've started Arteta along Flamini for this, but he's been pissing me off, so I don't want him to start.
The Flamini-Ramsey combo needs to be used more, because whenever they have together in CM, they have been excellent.
Also, as I said in the other thread, really hope Sagna is fit for this one as I really do not want to see Jenkinson in this sort of game.
I like that nobody is giving us a chance. Brings out the best in us (Bayern away, Dortmund away, Spurs home, Napoli home, etc...)
I don't think we need to revert to a more defensive midfield, we should go with our usual Flamini and Ramsey partnership. I wonder if Walcott is a starter for this? Cazorla looks like hes struggling so maybe Wilshere might come in?
They are corking pictures this week as well, don't know what you are missing. Most amazing shots I have ever seen
Difficult game to call City are exceptionally strong at home but the same could've been said when Arsenal came last year and played us off the park and were unfortunate to come away with only a point City's Achilles heel is they just don't like being pressed as our fortunate draw at Southampton last Saturday was testament to. Extre days rest for some and full weeks rest for yaya Kompany Nasri & Aguero may be the difference between the sides Team I expect to start Hart Zabaleta Kompany Demichellis Clichy Fernandinho yaya Nasri Aguero Silva Negredo
Just looking at that squad and it looks powerful. I do hope the loss against Napoli hasn't dented our confidence too much. Man City will be very confident, especially after beating the best European side. But this is domestic and things are a lot more closely played, especially against the top sides. It will be interesting to see who takes control of the midfield early on.
I'm hoping that the loss in Naples last night will act as a kick up the arse and remind us that we can't go into any game with complacency. Not that I think we would have for this game, but there's nothing like a bump back to earth to remind you about the importance of proper preparation. As like mate in the Marines says. It's the 6 P's Proper preparation prevents piss poor performance
I'm thinking we will probably line up with: ----------Szcz---------- Sagna---Mert--Kosc---Gibbs -------Flamini--Ramsey---- Walcott-----Ozl------Cazorla -------------Giroud-------- Subs: Flappy, Verm, Monreal, Wilshere, Rosicky, Gnabry (Podolski if fit enough for the bench), Bendtner Although Wilshere may start on the right, but if Walcott is fit enough to play i think he will start.
Or we might even go with Wilshere on the left, Walcott on the right with Cazorla comming on from the bench?
Oh wait, i just realised this is the league and so Arteta isn't suspended. With that in mind i think our subs bench will be: Subs: Flappy, Verm, Monreal, Wilshere, Arteta, Rosicky, Bendtner/Podolski Now that's a much better looking bench than the one we had to start the season with. We finally have proper options.
I'd go with your starting line up AFCFTW. So far this season we've actually responded really well to set backs but the challenges following loses haven't been especially hard games. Playing away to City after two days rest (from Europe no less) is a massive ask but I think if we really attack this from the start we can get something. A lot for me depends on if we have Sagna back as I think we've looked a lot weaker at the back with Jenks playing (Hull aside but they were poor).
If Walcott is fit to start, I hope wenger does start him. City at home will attack and should leave spaces for Walcott's pace to exploit. Plus Caz, Ozil, Ramsey, Wilshere will have a player with pace who operates on the shoulder to pass to.
