I like TT but sometimes you have to admit Wenger gets things wrong. He's only human. Criticizing a certain action or lack of action isn't slagging the man off.

Lol, just seen that Zenit made it to the last 16 with SIX points. God, Napoli must be gutted tonight. They doubled that, and still joined all the other European rejects in the Europa league.

At this rate, by the time the season ends, Giroud would have died from exhaustion. Looked beat tonight, and he gets sod all rest ahead of saturday.

    Actually feel sorry for him.

There's no dichotomy to call yourself a staunch supporter and to also call it when he's made a mistake.

I've defended Wenger against the knee jerk BS that has polluted this board in the past, but I've no qualms about expressing my opinion which is that he got it wrong tonight.

I don't profess to know more than Wenger nor think that I should be coach, that's just TT making a stupid response to what was a fairly obvious observation about what went wrong tonight.

Yes but Toledo is incapable of accepting that Wenger can make a mistake .

everything that Wenger does is planned and therefore brilliant .
Us finishing second is part of a great masterplan im sure.
Toledo will fill us all in on it .<ok>

Oh please god, let that happen. Them or Juve would spank the Spuds out of sight.

Including losing to Birmingham in a cup final? Damn, his priorities are a bit muddled.

    Whatever ...

I don't want to get drawn into your spat with TT. I don't agree with him on this point and I think his comment was a bit silly, but there you go. My opinion was that Wenger got it wrong tonight. I expect him to get it right against City. <ok>

Also, let's not forget that Napoli were without Hamsik tonight. Them and Juve really do not belong in the Europey alongside all the other deadbeats of European football.

One of the positives , if there are any . from tonite was the physicality of the side now.

Napoli tried to bully us , it was ineffective .
What a contrast from previous seasons squads.

    We dont play that anymore.
    Not gonna happen .
    Kos was tremendous tonite .

But Zenit does <laugh> I swear to God someone in UEFA must just love giving us crap groups or draws.
Anyway if we really want to see kneejerk the comments on the Arsenal facebook page, Ja 606, or find any Nigeria Arsenal forums <ok>. You'll find the occasional sensible post but most make for a great laugh.

When you look at the likes of Zenit making it through to the KO stages of the CL, it really is a travesty that Juve and Napoli are in the bargain basement Europey pot. But that just shows you how difficult some of the groups were this year. We should take some pride from the fact that we qualified from the 'group of death' and put tonight's result in context as to what we have already achieved from this group.

Plus the potential for the spuds to get a royal spanking from Juve or Napoli is a tempting proposition. You just hope that they are motivated to do well in that comp after having been knocked out of the CL.

Does anyone know if Wenger ever gave an update on Sagna's fitness ahead of the Napoli game? We need him back badly for the City game, because poor Jenks is just not anywhere near his class and struggled pretty badly tonight.

Jenkinson isn't bad but not ready yet IMO. Sagna was in training so he might make the City game.

Rafa always takes that competition seriously. <ok>

Them and Juve are the clear favourites for that cup now.
