I want us to win but won't be disappointed if we lose and get knocked out.

Sorry Mr G ..... We seem to have wandered off topic ..... which is such a shame when you have taken such effort to summarise the match so well

    <sorry>

I want us to win this. European football is amazing for us - who know's when we'll qualify again ??
All this stuff about putting European football before the League is nonsense in my opinion. Doesn't matter what Laudrup says, the players who were on that field against Hull should be ashamed of themselves for letting their own personal standards drop to those of a league 2 side. Laudrup may rotate his squad to adjust for these games, but the players should still perform to the best of their abilities.

Bring on the last 32 !

Well said Stereo. We may never be in Europe again, ever! Think about that folks.

The next game's the most important, whatever it is and should be concentrated on 100% - with 100% commitment on the field!

Albert Einstein, G. G. Jung, Johannes Calvin, Henri Nestlé, Hermann Hesse, Alberto Giacometti are all fightimg for a place in the first XI, and I will certainly follow Laudrups career where ever it takes him but I need to stay here for the funny match threads too...

And Jean-Luc Goddard, TINA TURNER, Jean-Jaques Rosseau,

St. Gallen are hardly the big cheese in Switzerland. Their defence is full of holes and we should milka them for all they're worth.

Dai you're fishing................. but shame on you for saying what you said even tho your looking for reaction. i would never ever want my beloved jacks to be beat let alone "Stuffed"......

Well the way i see it is laudrup is putting europe first and if he dont care about our status in the premiership then i don't care about what we do in europe..He has already said more than once that we should not expect to better last season and in the next statement that he uttered was we will go all out for europe....Sorry that is not on the premiership must always take preference and he is sending the players out on the pitch with the instruction not to get injured and to conserve energy for the european game a few days later...Its so obvious he is doing this as we always have played the same way before we play in europe. I was the one who never spotted this, It was pointed out to a bunch of us in the pub and if you look then he has a point.....We all know that laudrup wants to do well in europe to improve his chances of a big club and sod what we do in the premiership just as long as we survive...That is not good enough not to perform against teams at home because of his own interest in europe. He is putting our premiership status at risk because that is ultimately what he is doing at the end of the day to try and put himself in the limelight, It is wrong and disrespectful to the club and fans....We would be up there alongside Everton fighting for a european spot if he did his job properly but why should he when he wont be here next season....I pray that we don't go belly up in the second half of the season and we get left in the championship while we have done well in europe and laudrup can get recognized as a good european coach. I want to play in europe but not this way...

Agree here Dai. Even Manchester United players say the league is the priority each season and that the CL is a bonus should they win it <ok>

And thats how it should be Valley...look at the millions we may lose because we put europe first in where we end the season....playing in europe is fine i love it but not at the cost of where we should be in the premiership thats for sure..

Looks like, should we get through, Juventus will be joining us in the next round.

Would love to draw them at some point, I really would....feel sorry for those who can't enjoy these times.
What was it (the last 10-30 years) all about if we can't savour these times.

"he is sending the players out on the pitch with the instruction not to get injured and to conserve energy for the european game a few days later"

    Your assumption. You don't know.

"It was pointed out to a bunch of us in the pub"

Almost burst out laughing. I really did. Bar room pundits - nothing like it. <laugh>

"disrespectful to the club and fans"

Wouldn't it be disrespectful to piss away European games and get thumped with the world watching? <doh> You'd be first in line to have a go wouldn't you?

Jeez no matter what our managers do, no matter what they achieve you will always ****ing moan. The only way you won't is if we won the CL, The Prem and both cups - even then I think you'll bitch about something. Get a ****ing grip. It's pathetic! Laudrup has to achieve a balancing act with a limited squad and is doing well in difficult circumstances.

I've backed you to the hilt here because you have a right to your opinion but it's so ****ing depressing. Change the record!!!

Hope the game isn't fogged off.

Huge blocking high over Europe with a temperature inversion. Cloud up to around 800m all day but clear above.
