This will be make or break for the campaign now. Any ideas of timeframe for this?

Will it affect pass sales? no
Will it affect our global appeal? no
Will it stop the appeals? not sure

Maybe allam thinks that by changing it it will be the end of protests and doesn't want the situation to drag out any longer.

Does this mean we will get 100 million to spend on new players in August with all the money the name will generate

Beat me to it OLM. Merge the topic.

Suspect the FA will lay down die with this. I think it could get really ugly now.

Kinda funny that you wrote it this way because my personal point of view is that rather than trying to prove that it won't make things better, I'd be interested in CTWD proving that it will make things worse.

In that context your three questions apply in AA's favour. Will a name change decrease revenue?

The FA could be caught up in the match-fixing/betting scandal and just not pay this matter any attention......

it's a big unknown but it won't decrease pass sales in my opinion. It may affect the purchase of merchandise though, with people refusing to buy new shirts and whatnot with the new badge.

Although it could do with a revamp since the tiger on it looks like its ****ing ******ed.

    Makes me sick.

I hope the F.A. tell him where to stick his name change.

The most aggravating thing about it for a neutral is that he thinks Football is like owning a corner shop. He clearly has no idea and its people like this that make football suffer. Doesn't think about anybody but himself. He's a sleazy, arrogant, greedy ****er and I hope that if he gives the ultimatum of "I'll leave you in the **** if you don't accept my name change" that Hull fans snap his hands off.

Smacks of desperation, childishness, stubborness and he needs to let go and let his ego take the hit.

Might increase sales abroad, but badly hamper them on Humberside.
He may own the club but it belongs to you - good luck with your protest(s)

It'll be interesting to see if the earlier amateur club application for the name takes priority, being submitted some weeks ago.

The FA actually have an easy get out, if they say the name's gone.
