We allow them possession and hit them on the break. Our defenders have to be good.![]()
Absolutely not. We press them - continually. Play it like a home match - they'll break

i certainly don't agree with defending deep and hoping. the more of the ball we have higher up the pitch the less chance they score. 4-2-3-1 allows 4 mean pressing hard. drop into 4-5-1 if we can win it back.
are we capable... not so sure.
They haven't been brilliant this season so if we go at them there's no reason we can't get a result, this should be a game we go for as Chelsea and City away are going to be more difficult.
Don't the bigger games suit spurs though? Ie, they struggle against the lower sides?

anyone know how they did last night,
last i knew they was 1-0 against Swansea which surprised me a bit, they hold on?
Hull? Drew 1-1 in the end

cheers
still a ruddy good result for Hull though,Swans are quite good at home.

Wow this thread has bulked up a bit
Must of been some amazing discussion in here that the OP sparked, hopefully I won't look back and find most of the comments are a result of discussing line-ups for future matches as well as the weekends match. Because that would certainly not belong in a Liverpool v Tottenham match thread.
We should discuss the injury problems too![]()
I'm game for this - What injuries do you think the Spuds will pick up tonight against Anzhi in the Europa? Any key players we're looking to get crocked by the Russians?
