This is true, but i am just a bit tired of you.
The number of threads that are ruined on here by you coming on here,gobbing off your opinion and then argueing till you are Blue in the face (ding,that explains it).

In my opinion,you are more than welcome to express your opinion, but playing the Devils Advocate seems to be something you enjoy and at times your opinion is based not on your true thoughts but with this role taken into account.

I am not saying Dave is totally right, but he is entitled to his opinion, in this case i agree that betting odds are not wholly statistical, but your constant Prove it syndrome is tiresome, you do not need all the facts to come to a relatively sound judgement.Some can come from experience

i am not a regular gambler, but in my experience and common sense tells me that Consumer details will affect initial odds.

The thing that persuades me is that with all the calculations and number crunching that goes into it, you are trying to say that the bookies will put out some odds and then be reactive to the market
So the bookies are in no way proactive in how the punter will behave, do me a favour, do you honestly hand on heart believe that

I didn't say bookies are not proactive either, of course they're proactive in promoting their businesses in competition with other bookies, hence the enhanced odds, free bet offers, money back specials etc. This entire debate goes back to dopey Dave correcting Gerrez & proclaiming that he was wrong in stating that
"odds depend on the punters too", with "WRONG! Odds depends completely upon punter behaviour." to which I said that odds are created using probabilities, masses of data, algorithms etc, that's how odds are arrived at, not some gut feel as to what will tempt a punter, as the bookies ideal is a balanced book, with a nice overround

You are a complete lune! It was me me who originally argued that the punters had a prime effect upon the odds offered. So not only can you not reason but you also can't read!!!!

Give up. You are wrong and have been wrong since you started this whole but are just too thick to note it. Odds are NOT created purely by "using probabilities, masses of data, algorithms etc,". Those systems purely define the level of risk associated with an event. That information is then associated with what the organisation knows about consumer behaviour and the ODDS are then created. Neither I nor Louis ever claimed that odds were arrived at via 'gut feel' - that again is just a figment of your imagination rather than being fact.
