The Qatar group that offered to buy United from the Glaziers already controlling PSG and sponsoring Barca, imagine it, having control in some form or other over 3 different teams in the champions league, and they have also loaned the Glaziers a ****load of money too to the tune of over 200m, is european football in danger of being owned by 4 or 5 oil rich families. they also may have control over other clubs but have their envolvement shrouded in Business practices UEFA haven't a hope of untangling.

Surely this is a conflict of interests for one entity to have its financial claws in three clubs that may face each other in competition

Is that allowed? I don't think you can own two or more clubs at the same time.

I have read quite a few bits and pieces, some translated from Qatar media circles.

They offered a large amount of money to buy United in excess of 1.3b but were refused sale though it is believed they borrowed 250m from those who wished ot buy the club.

The same group own PSG and sponsor barca and there is no rule aboutr owning two clubs in different leagues I reckon

Look at it this way, the oil is fkn running out, Football is the new Oil for these fkkers

But what happens if the three clubs you own all end up in the same CL group for instance?,the 4th team in the group would cry foul if they ended up bottom due to results between the other three.

As usual rules of organisations are well behind business practices. I reckon UEFA never even considered it, and how does UEFA go about tracing who actually owns what. It is hard enough for Governments to keep on top of it never mind Platini and his apathetic bunch

    Now this is complicated.
I know that there is ''competition laws'' in place and prevent the creation of cartels. However I'm unsure if they are technically doing anything wrong.
Hasn't Roman Abramovich got some interest in CSKA Moscow?

Lol they gotta get their thread ideas from the Liverpool board.

united deny any ties with the group from qatar but the Glaziers do and United are paying off their interest debts, so although United are not linked with them, they are paying the price nonetheless
