Taking him on loan with a view to a permanant deal in the summer makes sense. Marseille need to offload some players by all accounts. Especially now they are Out of europe.
Jordan Ayew isn't even a relative unknown, he's pretty damn good. He's been a full first teamer for Marseille for years, playing in the champions league (he scored against Arsenal in the first group game this season) and a full Ghana international. Just the player we need, quick and skilful, plays up front and on the right wing. Really hope this is true, £3.5m is an absolute steal. And he's better/cheaper than Shane Long.

You sure you're not getting confused with his brother Andre? Jordan has 2 goals this season only (14 goals in 106 marseille apperances) and isn't even close to being as good as his brother.
Definitely Jordan. He's a right footed direct replacement for Aluko. Couldn't get a more like for like player, just exactly what we need to be honest. Too good for us though I think, if he's available bigger clubs will take him. May aswell hope to sign Van Persie as Andre Ayew.

**** this, go for Kim Kallstrom at Spartak Moscow, he's unsettled and would fit in our midfield well. They bought him for around £2.5m with add ons, so between £3.5m and £4m might do it.
