SSN: Breaking news has Alex McCleish walking out of Birmingham and is now the odds on fav for the Villa job. If he goes there, would Larsson be his first signing? Makes sense for the player as he wouldnt have to move area and with Ashley Young going to Man utd, they need a right winger. Could this scupper our move for the lad? Also, Gardiner may well go there as well. Bugger! On a lighter note, Judas will love the dull, uninspiring ****e McCLeish plays wont he? Ha Ha.
2 managers within minutes.... Maybe if he goes to Villa, he may take him, This should have been wrapped up by now...
This is what happens when you are not active enough. Look at Liverpool. Like **** off a shovel at the end of the season to get players in. Thats what you have to do.
They have Marc Albrighton who plays on the right at villa. I got the impression mcleish wasn't a huge seb fan anyway. He didn't rush to tie him to a contract which lead to Larsson and his agent getting seriously f'd off with brum and made his mind up he didn't want to stay even if they stayed up
Spot on, he's been available for a while we should have had him already signed as soon as he became available. Guess our thumbs were too far up our arses to pass him the pen to sign the contract.
Any Johnson, Larsson (was it the board that told McCLeish he couldnt give him that new contract) and Gardiner moves will now be on hold for the forseeable future, which is not good news at all, regardless whther they do go to Villa with McCleish (thats if he goes there as well) **** me football is complicated. Lol
I don't think they can hold Larsson up as his contract expires at the end of this month I believe. Maybe that is the reason why we have not got him signed up yet, because I'm sure that he is not allowed to talk to other clubs until his contract has expired.
The reason we have not signed Larson yet is he did not want to talk to anybody until he had finished the two Euro 2012 qualifiers at the end of the season. But agreed we need to move much faster in the transfer market.
As far as I'm aware, that rule has been changed. You can only approach a player from a foreign league 6 months prior to his contract ending, not a player in your own country. A player from your own country may be approached 1 month before their contract expires. That is what I am lead to believe, so don't shoot me if I'm wrong
No, no would never shoot a fellow fan for being mistaken (a mag on the other hand........), Rules\legislation change all the time and it's a bastard to keep on top of them.
If we wait long enough there's bound to be a ****ing mag come on and comment. They have so little to discuss on their own boards that they feel the urge to visit the top NE clubs boards to try and feel important.
yeah but the main point is that any potential transfers will be put on hold until a new manager is found for them. That appointed person may well fancy keeping these players? Back to an uncertainty again with one of the names that has been mentioned above all others recently.
