Hi guys, looking for some advice. Im looking to go to my first Southampton game at Newcastle this weekend as it's the closest by far in the Prem, but I didnt know for sure that I could go until today. So ive got no ticket, I know they are available on The Saints website but I dont know if they will get to South Scotland by Friday cos of Xmas post n that. Can you order away tickets on the Newcastle website? Can you pick them up at the ground? Any help would be greatly appreciated, Cheers.
Order it now, it'll get there. If they say it won't then you might be able to collect from stadium. You're very unlikely to be able to get one on the day. And count yourself lucky Newcastle have a big stadium with lots of tickets available, none of the games near me even get to general sale!
If it doesn't arrive, Saints ticket office should be able to organise a duplicate. They did that for me last year at Old Trafford and the system worked very smoothly. Talk to the ticket office people, they are very helpful. Oh, and enjoy! Grand children's Christmas concert preventing me from going. It was a good day out last year, despite the result.
You will think you are climbing Everest when you get into the stadium, its very high up but with a great view and a fantastic atmosphere
The tickets usually arrive pretty quick by post. Enjoy the game - I was there last season, man it`s a long climb up those stairs !
Booked flights over today for the Fulham away game on 1st Feb. I know I'm unlikely to be able to get a Saints end ticket but does anyone know from last year if its easy to get a ticket for that neutral end they have?
If it was a theatre they'd be putting the Away fans up in the gods. It's like watching insects running about the place on the pitch below.
Going to always be the problem since the only way to make the stadium bigger is to go up. Wonder if St Marys will be the same or if NC has a cunning plan if the ground does get expanded
At St James Park it is only on 3 sides. If they made the old main stand the same as the others and filled in the corners they'd have a bigger capacity than OT, I believe. EDIT: Correction - 2 sides: please log in to view this image
On a somewhat related note, I'm also travelling down from Scotland for this. I usually get tickets for away games sent to me in the post, but this time checked "collect at ticket office" as I only booked today - I'm assuming (and hoping) this means the ticket office at Newcastle??!
