Say it ain't so, we just need Rodgers to sit down in front of them, when he hasn't been able to sit down with the players, we have lost them.
Paris Saint-Germain's Ezequiel Lavezzi has put Arsenal and Tottenham on red alert by claiming that he does not know if he will stay with the Ligue 1 champions. The Argentina international has struggled for first team opportunities with PSG this season since the arrival of Edinson Cavani from Napoli in the summer. Both the Gunners and Spurs are thought to be keen on the 28-year-old, and his latest comments will have made them take notice ahead of next month's transfer window. Speaking to La Parisien, Lavezzi said that he was unsure of his future. "I do not know [what will happen in the future]," said Lavezzi. "A player never knows exactly all these things. But what I can tell you is that I will do everything to change my situation in Paris because I did not give my best shot and I do not want this to continue." The former Napoli man also admitted that his struggles can be traced to the fact that he failed to train properly during pre-season. He added: "I did not prepare myself well before the championship. And the fact that my level is not good is certainly linked to the fact that I'm a bit weak physically." Him, Cavani & Hamsik were awesome as a front 3 for Napoli. Very similar type of player to Tevez, quite short but stocky with a lot of energy. Would be a decent signing and can see him fitting into the Prem well.
I can see the problem being a possible bidding war with Arsenal and Spurs and that would be tough but agree with you on his style. Shaquiri is a bit like that as well in terms of body stature and style.
Levezzi would be awesome but we'd need CL football for that - and a tonne of cash. We currently have neither
we have cahs... just as much as some. its the CL football.. if we are looking on for it there are players who will jump at us in january.. but you have to look good for it and right now... meh... not so much.
January window helps in that no-one has qualified for the CL next year. If we're still in the top 4 by Jan we will be seen, by foreigners in particular, as a top 4 club. Plus the lure of playing with the 3rd best player in the world will help too. January is really the time to go all out and get at least 2 players who will go straight into the first team.
A very good signing Sam could be. Would add a lot and could start straight away. Pedro or Lavezzi would be Willian/Mhki level, yes.
Mohammed Salah anyone? Plays for Basle, Daily Fail have us "leading the pack" get him for around 15m Never heard of him but then I'm rubbish at names to faces
just been on koptalk for a look, says along the top "reds in talks with Gestifute agency" anyone any ideas who that is potentially for?
do we think this is a done deal in January? with our recent injuries we do need to add some 1st team players to our squad to continue our good start. if mvilla is as good as got then who else is a realistic possibility? gonna be a very tough December for us that's for sure.
I hope so, not only will he probably play straight away, but we need the compeition there for Lucas and that style of player.
