He can keep watching for me.

Maybe we could distract him with some of Mikes pies?

Well, it's closer to Downing Street than Newcastle, so step in the right direction.

In all reality, we could do with a striker like Shola, but significantly better. In fairness, that shouldn't be so hard to achieve.

Can't see it, must still be having nightmares about him from when Newcastle beat Sunderland 5-1, when he was manager.

Maybe that's why he wants him. ( Might think he plays like that every game )

    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The second we stop giving Shola a squad number is the second I hand in my scarf, hat, Shola shirts, the 50 year old Gate slapper, and resign as a Newcastle fan. Bruce must be stopped.

It's about time this new contract got sorted for Shola.

Before we know where we are, he'll be knocking in the goals at the World Cup and be one of stars of the tournament sought after by Bayern, Barcelona and the likes.
After cultivating his skills all these years, we'll end up with f*** all if he's out of contract.

So get that new contract out, signed and protect our asset.

We all know you're waiting to get him signed up for you so that he can't score against you on the big match day.

To be honest, can anyone enlighten me, having their scouts over to watch our games. How does that mean he is watching Shola of all people? For all you know he's scouting out Obertan for a key role to sit a certain somewhere to keep something warm.

If it was West Brom game, there's a fair chance they were there to look at Shane Long again rather than any of our players.

Personally think people have gone overboard about his performances BUT that doesn't mean he hasn't played well and he's still a good player to have. Deservedly ahead of Cisse right now.

I think it is a case of him having set a really really low bar previously. He has done a very good job but imagine if it was a Lukaku or Benteke quality striker there, how good could we be? They'd score as well as do everything he does plus a whole lot more. i'm just pleased with his effort in all games. He has never given that for us consistently.

    Sold!

Obviously we'd get something in the region of £20m for him, so we could then bring Andy Carroll home...

    Sorted! :)

I wouldn't look too much into it in all honesty. We need a goalscorer and without taking too much from Shola's current form and performances, he isn't the prolific striker we need. We already have a strong, physical presence up front with Sagbo (who is brilliant) and we just need a short, nimble goalscorer to play alongside him with Aluko being injured.

He's probably at the bottom of the list if all else fails. A Deadline Day signing if every other deal has fallen through basically.

Although we do pride ourselves in signing strikers that are good at everything apart from scoring (McLean, Simpson, Graham etc) so it may be pretty true.
