Still fail to see the logic in playing our best wide left player just behind Sagbo. Get Brady out left where he does most damage.
It's the same thing we did with Garcia last time. If we take our best creator of dangerous positions and play him out of position then we're weakening ourselves twice. Taking Brady out of the midfield takes out our width and leaves us with a midfield with absolutely zero pace to it. Palace's midfield could afford to go forward and support the attacks because they knew even if we countered they could easily make up the head start they'd given us. Playing Brady upfront, as well as stpping him play his natural game put him with his back to goal when he received the ball most of the time, and that completely removed his pace as an asset.
We have a distinct shortage of decent strikers but an abundance of attacking midfielders, so you would have thought this would allow us to play 4-2-3-1 at home, which can switch to 4-5-1 in away games. That should allow us to get more attack minded players forward more quickly, as well as allowing them to interchange with each other and if Sagbo does pull out wide someone else can push forward through the middle. McGregor Rosie Faye Davies Figgy Huddlestone Livermore Elmo Koren Boyd Sagbo Obviously once players return to fitness/form, we would have the likes of Chester, Brady and Aluko who would all be vying for a starting place and would all fit into that system. Just a thought.
Yes were are in a false position without a doubt. But the rest of ^^^^ this is utter bollox. 1)Should have got at least a point from Man City. 2)Officials robbed and cheated us out of a point each from Everton and Spurs away. 3)Palace were poor and we were dire on saturday But Hull should still have taken a point from the game. 14 + 4 extra pts = 18pts and 10th place. So Yes Hull City are in a false position. Palace will do well to get a point @ Norwich on saturday. imo.
In the right position now. Gained 4 lost 4 points to dodgy decisions after last night. I'd argue we've done better for it as the 4 we gained robbed Norwich and West Ham of a point each. 12th place, 5 points and +6 GD above the relegation zone after 15 games isn't bad going at all.
