Are any of you coming down for this? It's our first big home game of the campaign, and an early test of both sides' promotion credentials. I'm a little surprised there's not more hype surrounding what's looking to be the most notable fixture of the championship season so far (though I suppose it's a couple of weeks away).

In the interests of sparking a rare bit of championship cross board rivalry/hype... I think we're going to spank your sorry mob all over the park.

Enjoy the 2nd tier next year

1 game at a time. We play Burnley and Man City before you

We will derail you inevitable car crash next week

    This week is Burnley's turn

I'll reserve judgement til we've played our upcoming games first.

But I think we can beat you.

We've been there under Nigel and won despite you being the form team before.

To enter this run of games off the back of two defeats is far from an ideal scenario. Undoubtedly next week will be the most crucial of your season to date, and I just think it's come at the wrong time. The carrot of a cup semi final is too tempting to risk fielding a weakened side? A fatigued squad, Vs Promotion rivals, plus Ageuro et al. does not bode well.

Doesn't Leicester's perennial collapse usually come this time of the season? There's every chance you could head into the Reading game off the back of 5 straight losses...

Normally just after Xmas mate; but it is only two defeats and we're one point behind both you and Burnley. Not worried yet

I've just posted a squad comparison thread on our board- no malice intended, the aim is for a bit of pre-Christmas banter. <cheers>

I'm unsure if I've got your starting lineup correct, and don't really know a lot about your bench either?

In all seriousness I respect what you've achieved this season, and rate NP as a manager. Burnley have looked insipid in recent weeks, and I fully expect their results to drastically tail-off. Wins for Leicester & QPR would do nicely this weekend!

Understandably your attentions are elsewhere at the moment, but i'll resurrect this thread in a week or so. Roll on the 21st!

But it's one we're used to.

We've often lost to a ****e team then outplayed someone higher in the league than us.

As long as Nigel reshuffles the defence to the formula that worked so well then we'll be fine.

One thing you can be sure about in our upcoming game is that our lads will put 150% effort in. Will your prima donnas do the same? I doubt it. Should be a good test of quality over hard work.

I'm quite looking forward to seeing how Hill and Dunne handle Vardy and Nugent's pace.

Prima Donnas is definitely a fair description of the QPR side from the past two seasons, but not this one. There's a well documented burgeoning team spirit, and a newfound positive atmosphere surrounding the club.

    http://www.standard.co.uk/sport/foo...no-problem-with-team-spirit-here-8743389.html

Stories like that have cropped up all season. You could argue that it's all a ruse by the club to placate fans, but there's a visible difference in work-rate and togetherness on the pitch now.

Our best CB is Nedum Onouha, who was a national-level 100m runner in his youth. He's been out for a while with a hammie injury, but was back on the bench Vs Blackburn. Hopefully 2 weeks isn't too soon for him to start Vs Nugent & Vardy.

This game is set up for using players like De Laet, Dyer, Schlupp, Knockaert, Vardy and Nugent

Just run at their backline with pace. We will make mincemeat out of them in a foot race

Simpson and Assou-Ekotto rarely ever get outpaced, and if we have Onouha back then he's faster than all of your forwards. Hopefully at best you'll have one of Dunne/Hill to aim at

Sorry, he's just not faster than Dyer.

Dyer and Vardy will outpace your back line dont you worry about that

As for Dunne and Hill I would outpace them

    http://spikes-mag.tumblr.com/post/43717553557/qprs-nedum-onuoha-id-be-disappointed-if-my-100m

A 14 year old Onouha was probably faster than Vardy& Dyer, his 100m PB was 11.09 secs. He recorded that time whilst racing current GB sprinter Craig Pickering, who he beat (Pickering's adult PB is now 10.08).

He cut that to 10.90 when he was barely 16. Given he's a big strong professional athlete now, I don't think sub 10.9 is out of the question.

That's going on over here http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/240764-QPR-V-Leicester-squad-comparison/page2

Sounds like a good game plan for away at Brighton and Sheffield as well?
Have you seen our defensive record? That post is a bit flyer like in it's naivety!

<laugh> .... in words that are probably all too familiar to you from your missus ... you'll have to try much harder to get a proper rise ...

... no team stands out in this division as yet ... Derby are currently the form team ... for now ... our bubble is as likely to burst as yours ... you have to get out of this division this season or FFP will cripple you ... pressure is on Harry and he's resorted to signing some old legs to try and shore things up - doesn't always work in the hurly-burly of this division ... good luck to you - you should be there or thereabouts - but so should have been Blackburn last season and Wigan this ...

Looks like your lot were after those old legs as well?

As for who's bubble is more likely to burst- yours already had done! 2 losses on the bounce? Beautifully timed in preparation for Christmas too, everything back on track. Derby will win their next 2 Vs Charlton&Donnie, you'll get a point V Burnley and lose to us, and you'll be 4th by the time santa's emptying his sack over the remnants of your promotion bid

Benayoun this season Samba last ... and if you really were mystic Meg you wouldn't still be grifting ... Swindon and Doncaster have already exposed your real 'quality' this season and with a midfield of Barton, Jenas and Benayoun your dressing room will need to have oxygen cylinders standing by with the half time oranges...
