I'm guessing a big part of the problem is that he took Birmingham to that division in the first place.
Im sure they finished top half of the premier league last season (09/10), he also won their first trophy since 1963. It wasn't his fault Roger Johnson, Scott Dann, Craig Gardner, Barry Ferguson and Zigic took turns getting injured/suspended. Anyway, they were a yo-yo team with no trophies since 1963 when he took over now they're a yo-yo team with a trophy, so I'd say he's improved their fortunes overall. He was extremely unfortunate to go down and I think that's reflected by the fact he's now Villa's top managerial target and that Birmingham were looking to keep him even though they went down.
Billy Davies, constant battles with the board, hardly makes Forest a dead cert for promotion. Big Eck, good at this level, why yes, but Carson Young is already looking to get some money back, & in my opinion blames the Eckster for relegation. Okay Raaaaaaul, hope it clears it up for you.
McLeish has this habit of taking over teams, enjoys some success then it all goes tits up after three or four years. It happened at Motherwell. It happened at Hibs. It happened at Rangers. And now it's happened at Birmingham.
billy davis is a ****e manager. goes in, somehow persuades chairmen to give him millions to spend and sometimes does well. only this time he didnt succeed at forest
Billy Davies being linked to several exciting clubs. But the ex-Forest boss insists he wasn't with pal Tommy Sheridan on those nights.
