Could a possible deal to sign Assaidi and Ireland after their loans be on the cards during the winter window? If that and the capture of a striker was the only business that we did the whole window, I would be happy!
No chance on Assadi, he has made it quite clear he has bigger ambitions. I think Ireland will sign at the end of the year though!
I wouldn't mind trying to pinch Johnson from Sunderland, young, British and probably gonna to get relegated
Would be good, and we have a chance of getting him. Buuuut Liverpool and Spurs are both courting him Plus he is valued at about £12 million by Sunderland. We might be able to get a good deal though just like the people that have got ex-QPR players
I can't see him making either of those teams myself. He looks reasonable and positive in a relegation team, he was nothing spectacular at Man a City.
Assadi? He did an interview when he arrived and made it quite clear his priority was his parent club.
Rogers doesnt want him though?, and he has to say that really as they are the people he is under contract long term with. I think that if we finish mid table we could get him to stay afterall he isnt starting every week so it doesnt look like he making a very big impact on our club although we know otherwise.
Stoke are plotting a January move for Dutch striker Luuk de Jong, 23, and manager Mark Hughes has not given up hope of getting a work permit for American forward Juan Agudelo, 21.
Jus Juan Agudelo, Give him to me, So he can play football, For Stoke City, FA, don't be a sh*t, Give Agudelo, A work permit!!!!!
Stoke L&P posted on Facebook: "Agudelo, Diouf or De Jong?" IMO, I would go for De Jong and try for Agudelo.
I disagree with you about asaaidi, hes the only one capable if getting at a defender, he has skill and pace
Yeah it is about opinions, i hope he does turn out to ge as good as i think he will be, Do you still think whelan is a fantastic player mate?
I have to say I thought asaaidi was our best player yesterday, the only thing that lets him down is his crossing sometimes. I also thoght that some of the balls cameron put in were excellent making a case for him to be a winger as someone else mentioned on another thread. On the whole first half was poor from both teams but I thought second half we were much better and hit them on the break with pace. Overall we deserved the 3 points and are now sitting pretty 8 points above the drop zone. up the potters
I read on the BBC website that Crouch could be going to play for 'Arry to finance the deal for Diouf in January
To be honest if just shows the difference when a manager lets you play, a full back getting forward and putting positive balls into the box. For me I would keep him at Arab and get a winger to play infront of him so he can overlap, giving us more options. Either way he has shown he could play either role.
