Wet start still i'd say, with no TC, you'd just spin constantly with drys. It's not hot enough to evaporate that, and there's no standing water to clear, it's inters all the way
Yes but there are 75 mins to the start of the race. If there is no rain you will be surprised just how little water will be left on the track. Id wager it would be more a case of wet patches on a relatively dry track than vica versa
Front runners must be saying: "Hey, can you do a few wheelspins on the racing line?" While Lewis must be driving it himself avoiding the racing line lol...
it takes heat to dry the track though. When there is no standing water like no, it's inters, but it takes heat to take the water out of the track surface, which ther eisn't The water just soaks through the surface slowly, so at room temperature, it'll take a LONG time to dry. Also, the air is already saturated with water, hence clouds, so there isn't a huge difference in water levels in track and sky, so cannot evaporate easily, fairly simple Physics really
ffs I give up trying to guess the weather now, I said it would be a classic because of the weather and it's looking more like it now with changing weather...
For what it's worth (not a lot), Andrew Benson reckons, as of 2 minutes ago, that there is a high chance of a safety car start. It can't be that bad can it?
Safer yes, but quite boring. Takes the excitement out of the race. Korea needed it, as that was unraceable. This is nowhere near as bad, definitely doesn't look like it. There isn't massive amount of standing water from the looks of it
Well my previous points are invalid as the rain has not stayed away. Looks to be raining hard. Wet start, possible safety car start?
