Going to be missing Cab's for the game unfortunately.
    ___________________________________________

Yohan Cabaye has hailed the magic moment that he made history for Newcastle United at Old Trafford.

And he revealed what had made United tick in Alan Pardew’s pre-game team talk.

The French ace bagged the winner just after the hour mark at Old Trafford to send the Toon Army into sheer ecstasy after flooring Manchester United.

On a day when the fans chanted Cabaye’s name for 30 minutes non-stop after the game, the United hero - who fans who hate to see leave Newcastle - said: “To a score at Old Trafford is a fantastic feeling and I’m very happy to have done it and win the game.”

Toon boss Pardew had briefed his players before the game and gave them a history lesson of this fixture and what it meant to the Newcaste supporters.

He added: “The manager told us the club does not win here for over 40 years.

“It has been a long time but everybody is happy after that game

“I’m very happy to score the winning goal.”

However, Cabaye is now suspended for Saturday’s clash with Southampton at St James’ Park after picking up a yellow card for a challenge on Adnan Januzaj.

It meant Cabaye’s tally of bookings went up to five and earned him a one game ban.

Morning all! Should be a close match. You are flying at the moment. I'm hoping we have a few of our injured back. I'm going for a 1-1 draw. Feel free to pop over to our Board for some pre match banter!

True, Southampton have been brilliant this season, found things more difficult recently due to having a difficult run just like we did 2 years ago.

Southampton have been brilliant this season. It will be a very difficult game, all the more so for them having taken only one point out of their last 12 (I think). I'm going to be optimistic and go for us continuing our good run with a win - but only just.

I think we'll get a 2-0 win. The whole teams on top form and I wouldn't expect anything less.

I'd play the same line up and formation but replace Cabaye with Ben Arfa.

Southampton play five in midfield with a very high press. It's important that we match up with them to allow us to retain the ball.

I think this has draw written all over it. Chelsea showed us how to play these guys- go direct as you'll get nowt trying to play through the middle. Maybe one for Shola?

It's a must win game in a way. Mainly because a defeat or draw means all the hard work from Saturday will be undone.

And secondly because we could put a six point gap between ourselves and Southampton, the team sky sports (mainly due to le tissier) can't stop purring about despite us being better than them so far this season.

A win would really mean other teams would have to start taking note that we are a POTENTIAL threat to the top 6.

Have to say Pardew has turned it around big time. Question is can you sustain it.Cabaye is a big miss so hopefully we can capitalise. Still think a draw is most likely though.
